This is an old fashioned cinema. It charges reasonable prices, has basic but comfortable seats and was a pleasant reminder of trips to the cinema when I was young.
It was warm, comfortable and would I go again...I sure would

Lovely old cinema with a good selection of films. We love the film festival that this supported by this cinema. Very centrally located, with lots of free parking nearby.

Puts modern cinemas to shame. Small scale done brilliantly with knowledgable, enthusiastic staff who are welcoming to out of towners. Fantastic that you can take your drinks in with you and relax properly in what feels like an over-sized front room x

When you enter a cinema your first impression is of the authenticity of the ticket man. Does he/she really believe the world of film is dreamlike?
Well you are in for a surprise. As once you step inside the REX you have now entered a time machine. One of the oldest projection systems in the world beckoned by a dedicated artist.
A powerful performance in both ice cream delivery and public speaking, you will never have a more powerful experience when you enter this world. The World of REX.
I feel I must take a bow for the wonder of this establishment. As I was a part of the performance. A play within a play, within a play. There is no other cinema I have entered that holds this powerful, historical and authentic presence.
Bow to the history of cinema and live inside a treasure if only for 90-120 minutes.

what fun to go to a small, country cinema and find everything you could wish for.. it is comfortable, it shows really good films, and it has a varied programme which offers a wider choice without all the horror and violence.
Long may it flourish!
