Nice area close to durdledoor and lulworth cove. The hotel it's self is quite old fashioned. Facilities include an outdoor Poole wich was not in use and was green so made the grounds look unattractive. Indoor Poole with sauna, jacuzzi wich was out of order ,steam room solarium but again old fashioned feel. The rooms were of a reasonable size modern bathroom but way to much storage and not enough plug sockets. The hotel it's self is quite big very empty. We only stayed as out quite a lot in the day but if you are there just for the hotel/spa I wouldn't recommend as very quiet no therapist there on a Sunday which we wernt told and the Poole only keeps u entertained for an hour at most.

We stayed at Springfield Country Hotel for the Easter weekend, having seen that it had superb facilities and was within easy reach of Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Swanage and Wareham.

Having initially been put off by some of the reviews on here, I took a chance and am so pleased that I did as the comments were completely unfounded. The hotel was clean, the facilities were excellent. I would advise snooker lovers to bring your own que's as many of the tips had been broken. The swimming pool and spa area was lovely, breakfast was great and the hotel and room itself was very comfortable.

This was the perfect getaway for us, set in beautiful grounds, with a tennis court, outdoor pool and gardens. We didn't take advantage of the free daily fishing and golf but the fact they are on offer is great value for money.

Although I didn't have the pleasure in meeting the owner, all my dealings with staff and over email were very professional and satisfactory. I think it's lovely that this is a family owned business and they have their own spring water, which is a huge bonus.

We didn't want to leave and look forward to returning again soon, perhaps when the outdoor pool is ready.

From first arrival Reception staff very welcoming. Room was very clean and spacious. Evening meal was quality and quantity, so much so two courses was enough
Lady behind the bar and the waitress looked after us really well - chatty, pleasant and cheerful. Thanks. Will come again.

We booked the hotel for a medium size wedding (45 people), several months beforehand. Throughout the planning period and right up to the event the manager personally looked after the arrangements. Our requirements were complicated and extensive, in addition to afternoon and evening events for the wedding we had guests (with ages ranging from 2 - 82 years) arriving from all over the UK and Far East. We cannot praise the manager and his staff highly enough for their professionalism, friendliness and attention to detail. We had a champagne reception with canapés in the afternoon and a full wedding breakfast and disco in the evening. The quality of the service and catering was exceptional. We stayed at the hotel as did many of our guests. The manager made clear from the outset that some refurbishment was taking place, although this was obvious, this did not detract from our experience. The bedrooms themselves were large, clean, comfortable and well equipped and guests made good use of the grounds and spa facilities. We have invariably had positive feedback about the hotel and staff from all who stayed. We enjoyed a wonderful wedding and this was in no small part due to the professionalism, friendliness and flexibility of the manager and his team.

Room Tip: All room overlook well maintained and extensive gardens. The first floor rooms have large balconies.

We booked this hotel on the promise of a luxury country club with spa facilities... That it was not. The hotel was extremely dated through out, the furnishings were like something out of a retirement home, wall paper was stained yellow and was peeling off the walls. There was an odd musty smell every where. We paid £196 for one night which is disgusting given what we were presented with. The room was beyond dated. There was a sofa which had stains all over it, our bed covers were stained, there was marks and holes in the walls. The TV was bizarrely placed almost on the floor so you couldn't see it if laying in bed. The curtains had cigarette burns on them and smelt. The only saving grace was the bathroom was to a nice standard. We had to move rooms and were put in an equally bad room. The spa facilities were horrendous. The pool was small and cold, the jacuzzi was full of chlorine and all the slats were broke, it was unclean. The sauna door had broke so there was no handle. The changing rooms were horrible and hardly any lockers worked. We brought a deal where we got free tickets to monkey world, we were told by reception to give our name on the door. When we got there monkey world knew nothing and told us the hotel booked us in days before. I am horrified that they have the audacity to charge £196 for substandard rooms and facilities. Awful hotel, complete rip off, and if u are under the age of 80 don't stay there!!!

We spent only one night at this hotel. I wish it were a lot more.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the room was large
well furnished and very comfortable. As to the location, well who
wants to be in a park like gardens with so much space, birds and
a very large pond ( small lake ) so full of koi carp it is mind blowing.
Gym, indoor and out door pool plus loads more. The crowning glory
in the upstairs restaurant we were treated to the very best beef wellington
that we have ever eaten, and I may add we have had many. Oh how soon can
we return, very soon, and it will be more than one night.

Nice hotel for the price as we had a deal. Room was very large and had recently been refurbished. It would be great if the rest of the hotel could have some money invested. The upstairs bar was shut which was a shame as wanted to have a drink and watch the rugby. Breakfast was very nice in the lovely restaurant downstairs.
