Well maintained site, good facilities with a range of options for pitching a tent. We found a shady spot on one of the hottest weekends of the year. Well stocked shop with friendly and efficient staff. Would happily recommend this site.

This was our 7th trip to our favourite campsite. The grounds and the pitches are immaculate and the pitches are a great size, you don't feel hemmed it at all and the trees between the backs of the pitches give more privacy without being overbearing. With the lovely weather this week we used the swimming pool daily and it was very clean and tidy as well as being warm. Being on the edge of Wareham Forest there are lovely walks out into the forest as well as the Sika trail for cycling - you can cycle to Wareham itself and further. The toilet/shower facilities were always clean on every visit day and night. It is a very peaceful campsite - can't fault it at all.

Room Tip: Grass pitches with electric hookups are closer to the main road, but to be honest it's not busy...

Just returned from a two night camping trip, cannot fault it. Very very clean, nice relaxed atmosphere. Staff all nice, professional and friendly. Pool good and a very well stocked shop which was fairly priced. We will be returning to this site.

This is truely the largest "Superior" pitch we have ever had the pleasure of staying on. Beautifully maintained small cul-de-sac with only 8 pitches, all with individual water, waste, TV ariel, dustbin and picnic bench!! The pool was lovely and warm. The grounds well maintained. The washblock was clean and tidy at all times. The people who maintain the site are all really pleasant when you see them but unobtrusive. We would highly recommend this site and will definitely be returning !!!

Room Tip: Go for a Superior Pitch. Worth the extra money

We only live in Wareham but decided to have a family backpacking trip to ... Wareham (forest). Often we have drive past this site up to Bere but had never visited. What a delight! Friendly staff, very nice laid out (open areas, tree areas, camping specific areas). A well catered shop and a lovely swimming pool topped it off. My only criticism - is that the shop and swimming pool shut too early (about 6 ish). The camping areas were very nice and we had a lovely quiet night (despite being eaten by mosquitos). Highly recommended!

We stayed here for the first time for 4 nights in July on a recommendation from a work colleague. Check in was efficient and friendly and we were both so impressed with our mobile home site, which gave privacy and a lovely quiet space to enjoy.

The whole site is immaculately kept, from showers to the kitchen area; the outdoor heated pool was also a bonus and the pool area was also well kept and clean.. All around the park are lovely finishing touches such as pots of gorgeous flowers which we both appreciated.

The staff were the icing on the cake; from booking to saying goodbye all were extremely friendly, smiling and helpful – thank you.

The park, within the forest, has great access to cycling trails and if that isn’t your bag, there is so much else to do in and around Dorset which the site provides a really central base to go from. Because of the great weather we went to Poole Harbour and Kimmeridge Bay, both of which were fantastic (we took Stand Up Paddle boards with us). You can hire SUPs, Kayaks or Windsurf gear from The Academy at Poole if you don’t happen to have taken your own but want to enjoy the water. There are also some great places to lunch on your journeys out (notably the pub ‘Clavells’ at Kimmeridge). The Old Granary in Wareham town did great meals and is set right by the water. We also bought fish and chips in town and ate them by the river on another evening. The Silent Woman pub, only a mile from the site, also provided a good meal and well kept beer.

I am just so pleased the site has not turned into one of those ‘entertainment’ campsites, which would completely put me off returning – I am also pleased there is no on site bar or restaurant, because what we most enjoyed was the peaceful stay and the natural setting of the campsite. I can understand why some people may not enjoy the quiet and want more to do on site, but I guess it depends whether your holiday is the campsite or whether you use it as a base to explore. We took our bikes so cycling in to Wareham to find pubs and restaurants was not a problem as it is only 3-4 miles and you can do it via the off road trails if you don’t have lights or helmets for the road.

We are not experienced campers in the UK and I previously reviewed Ulwell campsite near Swanage, which at the time I thought was excellent, but having now stayed here, Wareham Forest Tourist Park is head and shoulders above – we will be returning – thank you for a lovely stay.

Room Tip: we stayed in pitch 66
