“Better than all the rest !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2013

My wife and I stayed for a week at 2 Heath Cottages at the end of June 2013 on the strength of previous glowing reviews on this site. They weren't wrong! As described by others, Denise and Sean are the most genial of hosts. During our stay they struck the perfect balance between providing the personal touch, when requested, but also providing space and freedom to do our own thing in a relaxed and friendly way.

We stayed in the smaller Beech room at the front of the house which still had plenty of room for my wife's immense wardrobe (!) and was perfect for a couple. We slept very well throughout the stay in a very comfortable, huge double bed and the cleanliness and facilities were top notch. The breakfast menu caters for all manner of tastes. Denise's attentiveness was first class when serving and Sean's kitchen duties couldn't be faulted.

The icing on the cake of this B&B is the location. It's on a main road but, due to soundproofing, traffic noise is almost non existant, whilst also having the advantage of a major Dorset bus route with a stop yards from the front entrance. We combined bus trips to Bournemouth; Swanage and Poole during the day with short bus journeys to excellent local bar/restaurants in the evening allowing us to leave the car in the driveway and relax with a drink etc. The few times we used the car was mainly for 3 trips to the world class Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre which is also only 8 miles away.

If you are looking for superb hospitality, unparalleled value for money B&B accommodation with a perfect location to take your pick of "things to do", then don't even think of looking elsewhere. Let your day dawn with Denise and Sean !

This was our second visit and it was great, Sean and Denise run a lovely place, we were in the Beech room which looks out the front but not a sound from the road, slept like a log in a huge bed.
We will sure to be back again.

I was in Dorset for the Jurassic Beast sportive (road cycling event) and stayed just the one night.

Denise and Shawn were very welcoming & flexible regarding arrival/departure, excellent room and facilities.

It is on the A35 which I was initially concerned about, but all quiet at night and no prob at all.

My daughter and i stayed for only one night on a flying visit to family in wareham from Manchester. We stayed in the beech room as a twin, slept well and were extreemly happy with the room. Spotlessly clean, bathroom lovely, quiet - despite having the busy road outside (although the road is pretty quiet after 11pm).
The breakfast was absolutely lovely. 5 star is not this good.
Sean and Denise are very nice people and made us feel very welcome.
Neither my daughter or i could get mobile signals in the house (Orange and 3 not good in Wareham area) but once Denise advised us to connect to the (free) wi-fi this was no issue.

The owners, the room and certainly the breakfast means we would certainly stay again.

You will note there are many good reviews for this place. It really is that good.

Room Tip: Definately have the full breakfast.

we were visiting monkey world and needed to stay overnight so we could visit on the sat and sun,the room we stayed in was the smallest but more than adequate for us " the beech " which was at the front of the house and it was very quiet.
the room was furnished very tastefully and the bed was very comfortable. tea and coffee making facilities and fresh milk was most welcoming.
sean and denise were most welcoming and the perfect hosts.
after a good nights sleep we had our lovely full english breakfast which was made of the finest ingredients, there were plenty of cereals as well as fresh fruit on offer.
we would recommend "Heath cottages" for anyone wanting to stay in a quality b/b with welcoming hosts and in a lovey area.

Room Tip: dont be afraid to choose the beech room because its at the front of the house as we found it very qu...

The accommodation was booked for me, by somebody else. I could not have asked for better. It was warm and spotlessly clean. Sean and Denise are so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much for them. My room was 5 star luxury and better than a hotel and the breakfast was Michelin star quality. I was working in the area, but intend to return to enjoy the relaxing, peaceful surroundings and do some bird watching.

We stayed for 1 night in the beech room, which was the smallest room. However, the space was utilised extremely well, as was the en-suite. Both were finished to a very high standard and immaculately presented. The bed was very comfy and we both slept like logs!
Denise and Sean were so friendly and accommodating. They made us feel very welcome.
Breakfast was great. We both had a full English but there were lighter options available plus fresh fruit and cereals, freshly squeezed juices and coffee and tea. They clearly made a big effort to source quality ingredients and cook them well - hats off to the chef!
The bnb is in a prime location for walking, the sea and monkey world! It has a couple of pubs in walking distance and the food in one of the them (the Sandford) was fine.
All in all, a lovely BnB. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
