“Patience on a single track road!”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Good parking once you have finally found it, entrance very well hidden then two miles to the place itself. Probably worth a look if near there.

“Sunday”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

Took visitors at Easter, group of schoolchildren In July and elderly friends August. Suited everybody, cottages and census info really interesting, schoolroom & church both excellent children loved the stage in the barn and made up a play in five minutes, farm restoration and little garden just right. Nice walk Worbarrow bay, fab views and beach. Lots of seats and picnic spots. Such an excellent day out well worth making a decent donation as everything is free and volunteers do everything, pond being cleaned today. Very sympathetic minimal restoration ensures that the place speaks for itself and subtly evokes a time long past. Thank you.

“An Amazing Place”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

Tyneham is a great place to visit, a must see while you're in the area. The walk to Worbarrow Bay is very pretty (especially in the bluebell season) and there are a lot a great spaces to run around and have an adventure.
There is a lot of history and you can read little plaques that tell the poignant of the slightly melancholy little village very well.
Before visiting, though, check whether Tyneham is actually open or not because the land nearby is still used as an army shooting range.

“Ghostly historic town”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

Thanks to WW2 this town has been frozen in time for 60 years. It is very interesting to walk around and see how the people lived and learn about the community who forever gave up their way of life to help win the war.
