my husband and i came down to dorset over the weekend for a short well deserved break, we checked online to find somewhere to eat and stumbled across Indiana. We dined in on sunday night where they had a special buffet on which was a great chance to try different dishes other than my usual korma, the place was very well lit and nicely decorated, you can tell the owners really cared about the way the restaurant looked. It was very comforting to watch how thoroughly the tables were wiped down after the seating, to the extent the waiter even used a dust pan and brush to clean up the food debris underneath the table, you can really tell they are passionate about cleanliness. the service was impeccable, not intrusive at all. we will visit again next time we are down.

Doesn't look like much from the outside and you have to bring your own booze but one of the nicest indian restaurants we've ever eaten in. Love indian food and have been to many different places to try their food but this has been the best. The chicken falls apart in your mouth and is never dry. Worth finding as it never disappoints!

Decided to try this new indian that has just opened in bovington right near my home town in wool. We came in on a Wednesday when it was quite busy, we were immediately seated by a lovely waitress and told about the promotional night which seemed fab. I started with a onion bhaji and a chicken korma which were cooked to perfection. My daughter had a chicken tikka and a mosala which she thoroughly enjoyed. The bill came to 20 pound because the restaurant is yet licenced so we were able to bring our own drinks which was again fabulous. Highly recommended and we were told they deliver free of charge to wool amazing!

Not a particularly visible location, and obviously quite new, however this Indian restaurant was a very pleasant surprise.

As usual, when on holiday, we used TripAdvisor to locate a restaurant with good reviews. In this part of Dorset these appeared to be a little thin on the ground.

On entering the restaurant we were greeted politely and shown to one of just 10 tables. We were advised that only soft drinks were available at the bar, as they didn't have a licence yet. However were directed to a nearby shop, and assured that no corkage would be charged.

We started our meal with an Indiana Mixed Grill starter. This comprised two pieces of beautifully spiced chicken, two lamb and one lamb sheesh kebab, all served on a bed of softened onions. A lovely start.

For mains we went for Chicken Tikka Ceylon and Chicken dish from chef's specials. These were accompanied by mushroom rice and a Tikka naan. Both dishes were beautifully cooked, with the chicken sliced thinly rather than in large chunks. A nice twist and made the meat really tender.

After finishing the main course we spotted a neighbouring being handed some interesting deserts. While not usually tempted by the desert menu, we order an orange sorbet. This arrived in a hollowed out orange and definitely tasted of fresh zest and orange juice.

All in all a lovely evening with great food and impeccable service. Goes to show once again that you can't judge a book by it's cover or a restaurant by it's location.

Our compliments to the chef!!
