“Excellent lodge to stay in!!!!”
Reviewed 4 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

I recently stayed at the lodge with my family and we had an amazing time. The whole booking was straight forward. Michelle was very helpful and was happy to answer all the questions that I had.
We were greeted by Denise and Victor who were very friendly and welcoming. We very much enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and to be honest it was far better than the pictures that we saw online. The beds were very comfortable and certain family members told me they had the best sleep ever.
I would definitely consider going back to stay at Woodlands again!!!! I would highly recommend the Lodge to anyone who is considering visiting Dorset as a large group.

“BEST HEN WEEKEND EVER!!”
Reviewed 12 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

The photos do not do this house justice. It's HUGE! a large ensuite off every bedroom and a lounge big enough to cartwheel in... Michele, Jo and the team were a delight to speak to in the build up to the weekend and were equally helpful onsite. We hired large bouncy castle inflatables in the field next to the property which went down a right treat and the hot tub was perfect to relax in afterwards. The accomodation was clean and presented perfectly. I will not hesitate to come back should I have an excuse to down the line. Thanks again to Deluxe Holiday Homes for make our stay as enjoyable as it was.

“Fantastic family fun”
Reviewed 24 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Fantastic retreat in beautiful, enclosed surroundings. We used these lodges for a long family weekend reunion. Perfectly held a family of 33 & 4 dogs (2015). Brilliant kitchen and dining facilities, warm, comfortable and clean with wonderful, helpful staff. It was so good we all went back again this year, which also had the use of hot tubs which was a fantastic addition. Would definitely recommend.

“Great house”
Reviewed 30 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

This house was perfect for all our needs. We were a collection of adults and teenagers. Enough space for everyone and more. Hot tub was nice but a little cold. WIFI didn't work and when you have teenagers its the end of the world, but we were told its being looked into. House was very clean, nice bedding, enough towels.
Very hard to find in the dark but Victor ad Denise were on standby with torches to guide us in. Denise is lovely and will help with anything and come to visit to make sure you are settled in.
Things to take: toiletries, milk etc and towel for hot tub.
Car is a must as nothing is within walking distance
Would stay there again
Only down side was no wifi and cooker too small for the size of the house with the amount of people staying

“A great place to stay!”
Reviewed 9 October 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The Woodlands Lodge is a great and spacious place to stay. I celebrated my birthday here with friends and we did enjoy our time! BBQ and a hot tub in the garden are a plus :) Communication with a manager was so easy, she is a very friendly and helpful lady!
For those who like beaches - Durdle Door is only 15 mins away and it is breathtaking!
Thank you!

“Not a DELUXE HOLIDAY and with very poor service”
Reviewed 29 September 2015 for a stay in July 2015
2
people found this review helpful

I have sent two emails to 'Deluxe Holidays' regarding our stay at Woodlands Lodge and I am extremely disappointed that they have not even had the decency to respond. We received very poor service during our stay.

Copy of email I sent :
'We were very disappointed with the standard of Woodlands Lodge especially as it is supposed to be a Deluxe property. The garden and general maintenance of the outside of the house is unkempt and the internal furnishings are far from Deluxe. The windows and external frames are in dire need of cleaning (rear patio door glass are particularly bad).
The web site states that there is a games area consisting of a pool and football table and a large separate lounge. The pool table (with unusable/broken cue's) was in the lounge and this was awkward when some would like to watch the TV. The football table was non existent.

Problems we encountered:
WiFi
- only picking up Woodlands 002 which was too weak. The TalkTalk router which
was situated in the house was not working.
- although we advised this straight away we had no WiFi all week.
Tumble Drier
- heating element not working (advised).
Washing machine
- not removing water out of drum at end of cycle (advised).
Microwave - Large
- not working (advised).
- after advising, another small microwave was supplied on the 18th, but neither of these
microwaves are suitable for large groups. They take a long time to heat up food.
Dishwasher
- we presume now that this appliance was the cause of the tripping of the consumer
unit on the evening of the 22nd when we found that it was not working on 23rd.
(advised)
Pool table
- website does not state a children's size table
- both pool cue's unusable/broken (advised and asked for replacements but they were
not supplied)
Torches
- two supplied with the property, one large and one standard, both not working. We
only found this out when we were looking for a light to check the consumer unit in the
cupboard which had tripped.
- we had to search the property for the consumer unit in the first instance as
there was no information in the house information pack.
Electric Shower in large downstairs shower room
- water leaking out of electric shower box. (advised)
On the 20th the maintenance man told us that it was safe. On leaving it was still not
sorted.
Tin opener
- one broken and one not working properly (poor quality)
Kitchen sink
- both plugs missing. We needed to wash up especially when the dishwasher stopped working (advised, but not supplied)
Dining Room Curtain
- previous occupant had been sick on the bottom of the curtain (advised and curtain
was taken away to be washed)
Large Patio Door in Dining room
- locking mechanism faulty, which meant that we were unable to open the door to get the large pushchairs out. (advised)
Maintenance man took out the lock on 20th so we could open the door, but a new
one had still not been fitted on leaving.
Bulbs not working
- kitchen, lounge, porch, outside light, upstairs bathroom, laundry.
(advised and some bulbs replaced)
Kitchen Door handle
- Broken. Once closed difficult to open again (advised)
Downstairs Small Double Bedroom
- Door not latching, therefore keeps banging when the window is open (advised)
Panasonic TV in lounge
- no remote. Because of this and because there was no manual for the TV, we did not
know how to get the DVB update off the screen. Luckily after a couple of days my
brother managed to sort it using the buttons on the TV. Before this the TV could not be used. (advised)
- when looking for the remotes one of our party moved some of the settees in the lounge only to find the carpets under the settees had not been vacuumed/cleaned for a while.
TV in large downstairs bedroom
- could not find the remote. Eventually we found it in the lounge. (advised)
TV in upstairs bedroom
- could not find the remote. Eventually we also found this one in the lounge. The remote for the Freeview box had no batteries in it. The TV would not work, but once again my brother sorted the TV and Freeview out. (advised)
Lack of up to date manuals
- many of the manuals found were not for the appliances in the house. (advised)
- the manuals that were found, were all over the place.
Cooker
- not suitable for large groups. We had to cook breakfast in shifts and we were only
cooking for 10!
Hot Tub
- on two of the occasions we were to go in the tub, it was cool. We now believe that the
consumer board tripping, turned the heater off on the pump
- side and bottom slimy, not clear and scum on the top before it was used. (advised)
- in the information pack it says that the spa owner must regularly maintain pool water
with scheduled maintenance. It also says that the filter cartridges should be cleaned
every day and the filter cartridges changed every 3 days. This was not done.
Broken chair outside
- good job we noticed before someone sat on it, especially my elderly parents
(advised and then removed)
BBQ disgusting
- disintegrated and racks not cleaned (advised)
- new one delivered on the 18th after we complained, but only available to use on the 20th when the maintenance man put it together (on arrival he did not even know that he had to do this)
- new BBQ not large enough for large groups. We had to cook in shifts and we were only cooking for 10!
- borrowed a charcoal BBQ on 18th which we had to wheel down the long driveway to the property ourselves.
- no cleaning brush available.
Outside electric heater
- one of the two glass elements shattered. Is it safe? (advised)
Outside Furniture
- Lack of outside furniture and no umbrella for outside shade.
- Seat covers for only 1 lounger and 2 chairs. (advised)
(I chair and 2 covers passed over the fence by the cleaner for us)
We look forward to your reply/comments.'

We would never use Deluxe Holidays again. Most of the issues we brought up were not even looked into during our stay and I know that they could not have been rectified within the few hours that are available before the next visitors arrive!

“Big family holiday”
Reviewed 8 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

This was the best holiday I have ever had. The house was amazing with its own hot tub. BBQ, washing machine, dish washer etc.
There was every thing I needed for my holiday . I have children from 3 to 21 years old and there some thing for every one. We ordered our food shop to be delivered on day off arrival and we BBQ every night drinking eating out doors.. There was swing ball, goal post ,books and so much thoughtful stuff around to keep every one entertained. The staff were lovely ( cleaning lady and maintenance man ) every thing was perfect. Loved the whole week.
This is a ideal location for days out ie sea life , Poole, weymouth, tank museum, monkey world..
