Visited for a late Sunday lunch with friends, including 4 children. Although we have visited several times for an evening meal or drink this is the first time we have had Sunday lunch - always a good test. We were greeted quickly and shown to our table by a very friendly member of the bar staff. The pub is quite spacious with plenty of room around the tables. They do a special Sunday lunch menu which was good value. I am often disappointed by with the standard of Sunday roasts in pubs and cannot understand why so many find it difficult to present what is essentially a fairly simple dish well. However a number of us chose the Roast Platter which I am pleased to report was very nice and well presented, especially the plentiful vegetables. The children's menu is also very good.
Overall I felt the Willett Arms offers good, value for money food which is a step up from many chain pub offerings. The service was efficient and friendly. We will definitely return.
