4 of us visited and all agreed that the starters, mains and desserts were top notch. As were the staff, who coped with a lot of diners, very high temperatures and probably tetchy chefs (given the heat in the kitchens!) admirably, with friendly and professional attitude. We'll definitely be back.

“Good but not that good”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

We went here for our anniversary, whilst it was a very nice meal the skate that my husband had was really very small and we have experienced nicer in another local restaurant. Also the service wasn't quite right, again the staff were all very nice but the service was extremely slow I mean there is slow and really slow and this was the latter and it wasn't particularly busy either All in all it could have been an excellent meal but ended up a little disappointing., maybe it was just an off night judging by the other excellent reviews.

“Great for a meal or an event”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

Having had a wonderful meal one evening a few months back we spoke to the team at Number 9 about a 70th birthday party we wanted to hold. The 'back room' and garden were perfect for a group of 20-25.
The upfront prep and menu choices were easy to handle and the staff on the day were really accommodating. The food, as always, was top notch. I've even had emails from our guests raving about the food!
Can't recommend this place enough!

“Nice lunch”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

We have walked past this place so many times and tried to go several times without success because it was always closed when we wanted to go. We finally managed to go one Saturday lunchtime for my birthday. Great choice do food in the menu. The main meals (the fish and burger) were generous and full of flavours. My husband's dessert was a bit disappointing however - some strawberries with cream which although nice was poor value for money. The other thing that put us off this place was the big table next to us who were very noisy and completely ruined the atmosphere. It would of been better to put them in the separate area from the other people.

“Go stay!”
Reviewed 27 June 2014 via mobile

Number 9 is a restaurant with fabulous rooms. All rooms are decorated with Farrow and Ball paint and wallpaper. Furnishings are elegant; the beds sumptuously covered and the bathrooms modern. Number 9 is very close- 2 minutes walk- to the centre of the lovely town of Wimborne Minster, which has many cafes and tourist attractions with not Macdonald or Starbucks in sight!
