It was that time again in the office when the team were working late and I thought I would try again for take away pizza. You might have read my last review about visiting here in Sept '13?... so you can understand I had some hesitation. After giving the open and honest feedback last year, without response I wondered if things had improved.
Well, I was greeted by the owner, after who I think was his son, indicated I had come in. I had looked at the menu outside and first asked for a take away spinach pizza and then tried to see if they could do any barbecue style pizza, he asked if I was Ross! I replied yes, he went to get a menu so I could select, Wimborne is indeed a small town.
I wondered if I would get a small apology about my last visit, post my review, that he might go out of his way to put right a bad experience. On his return he said 'I shouldn't be serving you!' I asked, 'because of my review? I thought it was worth a second chance and to try again' I mentioned. He though for a few seconds, closed the menu and said no, I'm not going to serve you!
Although disappointed that given the opportunity to delight and turn around a previously regular customer who had given some honest feedback, he had alienated me even more.
As the title of my last review said '...such a shame' I guess in the connected world I expected a basic understanding that I had presented an opportunity to rekindle my business. This was not the case here. I had not been spiteful or exaggerated, just told my story and shared my experience.
Round the corner I go to buy our pizzas elsewhere. Piccolo Mondo, excellent service, swift fresh pizzas, happy team.
No more second chances at this place. Very disappointed that basic customer service and genuine feedback had not been embraced to turn things around in a positive way for the better.
