This was our third visit while visiting friends in Dorset. Previously we had been for dinner and a rather superb breakfast. The food was delicious, locally sourced and beautifully cooked and presented. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was excellent. We felt cared for and valued as customers. Would efinitely go again if our friends invite us to stay. Sure they will.

We went to the Tickled Pig for a birthday treat in late August 2014. I thought it was excellent. I had said in advance that it was my birthday and for that I was rewarded with a free glass of bubbly which got things off to a good start.

The owner takes time to talk you through the menu and wine.

The food was lovely and I liked that it is all locally sourced. It is towards top end prices for the area but I felt that was reflected in the quality.

The atmosphere was relaxed. We have 2 young children and I would feel comfortable returning at lunchtime with them.

This part of Wimborne has a really nice selection of restaurants and bars now and is well worth a visit.

Had a good meal here with friends. Interesting menu with good variety of dish. Slight error in menu and what was served but resolved well by staff and dish which wasn't the one asked for excellent. Staff helpful and friendly. Had good conversation with owner who is focused on giving diners good food and they do

If you are eating in Wimborne go here.
Why?
1: Menu is seasonal and changes all the time.
2: You may risk it and discover you like foods that you have not had before.
3: Food is locally and ethically sourced - can't argue with that.
4 : Staff are always friendly and helpful.
Why not?
You may love something and it won't be on the menu next time you go (see point 1 above). I still live in hope that the apple strudel pizza with clotted cream ice cream will one day return - one of the nicest puddings I have ever tasted.

Had lunch here on two previous occasions , this time had dinner which was amazing . Love the whole atmosphere and experience nothing quite like it. Pricey and not large portions but the food is fantastic . We had pigeon and courgette starters and local beef and lamb for mains with cheese to finish . Loved it all can't wait until we are in Wimbourne again will certainly be returning.
