I had never been here before for one reason or another but WOW it's so different and rather stunning in design and creativity. There is a small self service coffee hut surrounded by inventive plant displays on old tables and crates! Take away ideas with you and buy the perennials and grasses from the open air nursery.

I knew this garden was rated for its ornamental grasses - which were just as good as I expected - but I was really surprised by the collection of unusual trees at Knoll Gardens, and delighted by the stunning autumn colours.
It's a quiet place, full of birdsong, and very relaxing with informal planting that just makes you want to start all over again in your own garden.
Don't bother if you need playgrounds and gift shops - enjoy it to the full if you are looking for a bit of escape in a busy world.

Interesting collection of grasses, shrubs and trees. Pleasant, peaceful walks with water features and the additional strong plus is the thoughtfully arranged layout with ample seating areas and shelters. All makes for an enjoyable experience.

These really do live up to their billing as award winning gardens. We were lucky on the day of our visit as the sun was shining which brought out colours at their best. Although not large there are many facets and paths to explore from the walk from the bark circle to the water garden. If you do like your gardens then this one is well worth a trip.
