Fantastic stay! Newly refurbished, great rooms, good atmosphere! Staff friendly and efficient! Thoroughly recommend!! Management need a pat on the back for a well run hotel! Looking forward to staying in the summer during the folk festival!

Visited this hotel as a mystery shopper and stayed overnight with my wife. I booked it the day before yet it was only £45 for a double room with breakfast (prices will vary but can be checked on the web page; it just so happens that the assignment required to ring the hotel direct). The hotel has just been refurbished and is much smarter than before. Our room faced onto the courtyard and was a good size with a long double bed which had a good quality mattress and high quality linen. Lighting was ample and the en suite included a bath with shower. A morning paper was included in the price. Overnight it was very quiet save for a faint and intermittent hum from a fan but we could ignore that. Everything was very clean and polished. We had drinks in the bar, which is well stocked with ales, beers and wines. The dinner was delicious as was a very generous breakfast. Staff were very courteous. Usually if we stay anywhere we use small B&Bs but the price and quality of this hotel was such that we will now consider Old English Inns.

Room Tip: We had room 14. The temperature was good for us but some may find it too cool. Walking along the cor...

This was our second visit to this hotel. Since we last stayed it has been refurbished and the rooms are now much improved. The whole place has had a makeover and it has improved it a lot. The staff are very hardworking but are very obliging and helpful, a credit to the Manager. We would love to come back. Thanks for a lovely weekend.

My single room was twice the size of most hotel's double rooms with a small double - and very comfortable bed. Good sized, warm bathroom and I really liked the 'chandeliers' as bedside lights. Service was friendly and efficient in reception, the bar and the restaurant and we really enjoyed the food.

Hotel has been completely refurbished since last visit when it was looking a bit tired. Refurbishment has successfully retained character of old coaching inn. Rooms clean and fresh, breakfast was fine but did not try other meals in hotel.
Had room overlooking town square, thought it might be noisy but not that much traffic in Wimborne! Room very spacious with large bathroom. Plenty of Hot and Cold. Tea/coffee/chocolate and biscuits in room a nice touch

The place was busy, but not that busy. We ordered from the specials menu and some dishes were not available, which is OK. The food that we did get was not that great, but reasonable value for money. The service was good and friendly and we had a nice time and were not rushed. The food is sort of run of the mill pub food. There are places in Wimborne that serve better food and are nicer generally, but there is something nice about The Kings Head.

This was our third stay at the Kings Head. Since our last visit the hotel has been completely refurbished, and what a nice job they've made of it. Our room, overlooking The Square of this lovely market town, was spacious and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast menu is extensive, from Continental to Full English. We have always found the staff very friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend.
