Description: After 12 years, the team behind Lazaat are working towards a new and rebranded restaurant. With new décor, a new menu and a new feel, exciting times are upon us. At the heart of Lazaat is their charcoal and wood burning grill menu. The talented and innovative chefs use lump wood and sustainable wood from the English countryside to cook a range of prime, locally sourced meats. This cooking method is natural, with no additives, and imparts the most amazing flavour and aromas to the food. Loyal regulars wanted Lazaat to retain some of their popular signature Persian dishes, alongside the grill. The result is a classic, second-to-none menu that compliments the use of the unique charcoal and clay oven. The restaurant is located just a five-minute drive from Cottingham centre, and is undoubtedly worth the twenty minute trip from nearby Hull, whether it be for a special occasion, a family outing, or just an indulgent bite to eat after work. Here are the Lazaat Restaurant opening times which show the range of menus available at our Cottingham Restaurant. When booking it was stressed we needed to be there on time as they were busy. Arrived to find an empty retaurant but several weddings seemed to be in full flow, in rooms around!
Polite and unobtrusive service throughout the evening. Food was lovely, extensive menu with unusual dishes.
Another couple arrived and left. We left just as the wedding fireworks started outside, bit of an added bonus to the evening. On reflection the next day we found we had been overcharged by £10, still waiting for a reply to my e-mail informing them of the fact!

Spent a lovely evening at lazaat's restaurant and bar. I have never been disappointed when dining here. As always food delicious, really tasty and a good variety at the buffet evening. Excellent range of salads. Staff very attentive and friendly, providing excellent customer service. Compliments to the chefs, who never disappoint. Atmosphere very warming and decoration very classy and unique. A beautiful place to spend the evening with family and friends.

This lunchtime buffet was a real surprise as the choice from fresh salads to 6 or 7 mains plus a choice of fresh fruit salad or chocolate pudding was a great treat at very reasonable price.
The restaurant overlooks lovely gardens and the ambience is really welcoming and pleasant.

Went to a 50th birthday party at Lazaat and it was an ideal place for a function. There is plenty of space in the marquee, with good facilities (although the bar did get a bit frantic later on in the evening).

Food was served that was tasty but a bit basic but this might probably have been because it was what the organiser had booked rather than a lack of quality food.

Good fun evening!

Visited the restaurant for my birthday with the family (ten in total). Thoroughly enjoyable evening, service was attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was divine, i had the sharing platter (tandoori) with my partner and the lamb curry and both were exquisite. Everyone on our table commented on the quality overall. Also, make sure you order one of the peshwari naans, they are to die for! We will be returning!
