Just returned from an amazing weekend in this fabulous quaint cottage. We travelled with young children and this spacious accommodation catered for our every single need! Beyond what we expected! The location is superb! We hope to return soon!

“Spacious and well placed for exploring Northern Ireland”

we were a family of five, all adults, the house is on a wide street within paces of the forest and around the corner from the castle and the beach. The new owners are busy making improvements and they have taken on board the previous review with lots of new kitchen equipment. There is only one bathroom but there is a downstairs loo which helps, the ceilings are low so tall people should be careful. Glenarm is a charming place to stay and the local pub Stevies at the end of the road is a good place to taste Guinness. The house gives good views of the castle from the top of the garden. It is well placed to drive along the coast to Belfast or to the Giants Causeway. If you seek warmer sea water than Glenarm has to offer, check out Downhill Beach with its long strand of sand and the Gulf Stream warming its waters. The Gobbins path is also worth it but you need to book this well in advance.

“Good for big groups, lovely garden”

We were a group of eight adults and one baby. It was great that a cot and high chair were provided. The garden is lovely to sit out in on a nice day. Very cute village - though there is more going on in neighbouring Carnlough, such as restaurants and take away food. Some of the rooms have king size beds which is a bonus! Only one bathroom, so can be a queue in the mornings, and the kitchen needs more utensils but we managed to cook a lot nevertheless. For the affordable price, this is a good option, and the hosts are very nice and respond well to messages.

“Excellent!”

This was our third year staying in Acacia House and this year there was a change of ownership. However, we were made thoroughly welcome and Maureen who met us was so friendly and helpful. The house is a great size and really comfortable for a large number (nine of us!) totally recommend.
