We have just spent 10 nights in Ballymena at what would have to be the best B&B we have ever stayed at. After much long distance planning between Perth, Western Australia and Ballymena, Northern Ireland, we arrived in pouring rain, on the train from Belfast, with two gigantic bags. George was at the station to meet us, and from that moment he became our best mate, trip coordinator, map director, appointment maker, shopping advisor and all round Mr helpful. On reaching the B&B we were met by pocket rocket Heather. Nothing was too much bother for Heather. Her breakfasts were superb, baking just appeared in our room on a daily basis, even got washing done whenever we wanted. Our room was immaculate, comfy beyond words and very spacious. There is nothing that we could say that would describe well enough the kindness we were shown and the exceptional standard of our room. All that and perfectly manicured gardens. Thanks so much Heather and George for making our Northern Ireland stay such a success

I travel a lot for work and the outstanding places to stay are those that make you welcome. Heather and George were absolutely excellent, and all the small treats made the business trip into a holiday. Cream tea on arrival, glass of wine after a long day at work. The most comfortable bed ever and a very decent hot shower. A lovely garden to relax in. It was like home from home. Thank you so much, I'm hoping for a return trip very soon. I cannot recommend Pinegrove Lodge highly enough, it's right at the top of my list to stay at in Northern Ireland and I would vote it the best B&B in Ireland too.

We had a friend's wedding at Galgorm Manor - resort and spa - and in searching for accommodation we stumbled across Pinegrove lodge online.
At first my partner and i were a little apprehensive about staying in a 'B&B" (aka someone's home, for example)…. although from moment we arrived there was something different about Pinegrove.
The reception and warmth we received from Heather & George was simply amazing…. something that lasted through until the moment we left.
To this end, we had two nights booked…. each morning we were treated to THE MOST traditional and sumptuous breakfast cooked to order by Heather, full of choice and homestyle hospitality.
The room itself is a detached 'studio' style removed form the main home, which provided us with immense privacy and comfort …. well equipped with all homely inclusions (including the surprise freshly baked cake which kept appearing in our fridge ;-))
And to make things even better, on the morning of the wedding George insisted he drive us to the wedding which made it very easy for us to find our way… and he also provided extremely useful information on getting around to the many Northern Ireland sightseeing, such as Giant's Causeway, Ballintoy Harbour, Ballycastle etc…..
All this said, after spending two nights with Heather and George, we felt so comfortable and at home that we decided to stay another night… instead of our plans to head across to the west coast and explore….
My advice to any traveller in this area, is to give this place a go…. i guarantee you will NOT be disappointed.
Thank Heather & George… we will 100% be back in the very near future :-)

We were attending a wedding at the Galgorm and were unable to get booked into any of the nearby hotels as it was a last minute decision to stay over. After reading all the fantastic reviews we decided to book at the lovely Pinegrove Lodge. Heather could not have been more accommodating on the telephone. Upon arrival Heather and George gave us a very warm welcome and had freshly baked home made scones and shortbread with filter coffee waiting for us. We were very lucky to have the 'family room' which is a self contained building with its own bathroom and two bedrooms. If you have children I cannot emphasis how fantastic this room is for children. It was as good as any family hotel room with a seperate single bedroom with its own flat screen TV! We will definitely be back for a break with our young daughter. The room also had everything you could need from a fridge to microwave and toaster. The bed was very comfortable with an electric blanket. Breakfast the next morning was simply delicious with a wide range to choose from. The bathroom suite was modern and the entire room was simply spotless. This was our first time staying in a 'B&B' rather than hotel and and further B&B's have alot to live up to :) Cannot thank them enough for their hospitality.

Room Tip: Highly recommend the 'family room' for extra privacy and fantastic facilities for families.

We were attending a wedding last weekend and reception was in Tullyglass Hotel. We were unable to get booked into the hotel but managed to get accommodation in Pinegrove Lodge. We got a really warm welcome from George and Heather and felt at home straight away. They could not have done more to make our stay comfortable. The bedrooms are immaculate and tastefully decorated with tea/coffee making facilities and of course home made shortbread. We had tea and cake when we arrived and when we arrived back from the wedding reception our room was lovely and warm and cosy. Breakfast next morning was just wonderful, choice of cereals, fruit, porridge, toast, home made wheaten bread, home made jam, everything was delicious. We would recommend this B&B wholeheartedly to anyone looking for accommodation in Ballymena area. It is classed as 4* but believe me it is more 5*. You would not get more in a 5* hotel.

I was recently working in Ballymena and came across pinegrove lodge, as soon as I called to ask for availability Heather and George were extremely helpful and very welcoming and pleasant nothing was too much trouble at all. We arrived around 8pm and George was there to greet us despite the time he made us very welcome and helped with setting the heating etc, there was fresh milk and some cakes when we arrived. The house was immaculate and fitted with everything you would need for a short or long stay. I would recommend pinegrove lodge to anyone staying any where near the area as it is a perfect place to stay, Heather and George are the most welcoming and kind people I have met and would definitely be staying here again in the near future. Thank you very much for a wonderful place to stay. Richard
