My husband and I stayed at the Galgorm for our 'babymoon'. Trying to reserve a room over the phone was annoying. I had to constantly ring the hotel over a few days, after leaving my third voicemail message and explaining this to the operator I finally got a return call and was able to book. I had requested the spa brochure to my email, never received. We had been allocated a suite which we were very pleased with. On arrival we were made very welcoming and resort was very relaxing. My husband and I decided to have a cup of tea before visiting the spa resort only to find that the cups were used and hadn't been replaced since the last customers. On top of this my husband has a dust allergy, and the room had triggered his allergies. Naturally I looked around and it was becoming clear that the room was very dusty, the bathroom shelf had a thick layer of dust. We left a comment card on departure explaining our disappointment, we never got a reply. For the price of this hotel I would not recommend staying here for some of the basic hospitality standards are not being met.
We dined at Gillies, highly recommended and staff are fantastic.
