cushendun is a very scenic village with a long sandy beach and never overcrowded.the village is not for the young and lively there is not a lot of entertainment or things to do but for a quiet relaxing holiday it is ideal with beautiful scenery .

“you could miss it but don`t”

Just an unique little village. Not a place to be in a hurry. Harbour special. Spent only few hours there so I am planning a return. Note: this is the kind of place where one can get lost for directions so enquire or use sat nav.

“Cushendun Village”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2013

Cushendun is a lovely little sleepy village on the north antrim coast. There is a great wee coffee house that serves a traditional Irish breakfast - delicious! A quaint bar on the corner and lots of good walks. Definitely worth a visit if you are in County Antrim.

“Lovely coastal area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2013

Cushendun and the surrounding area is a lovely place to relax unwind and go for leisurely walks, surrounded by mountains there are great views leading into the area. There are various historical sites to visit on your travels.Food, drink, and accommodation are ready available in the village and surrounding area's such as Cushendall,Waterfoot,Ballycastle and Carnlough at very reasonable prices, most of these also have their own festival of some kind during the summer and all have beaches that are not to busy and you don't have to sit in traffic jams to get onto. There are numerous caravan and camp sites in and around these areas, some have small camping pods that are cheap to rent per night.Live entertainment and traditional music can be found in some local pubs and bars during the week and most of them at weekends. Ballycastle and Cushendall have golf courses, there are play parks in all areas but none of your large theme parks nor water parks.I live less than 40 miles from this area so I visit it many times during the year and its always different it's a great place for sightseeing.
