“Wonderful bed and breakfast”
Reviewed 31 May 2012

We just spent two nights at Quarrytown lodge Bed and Breakfast, wonderful place to stay. The room we had was large and comfortable beds and breakfast. Close to golf courses in Ballymena, and five minutes to the village of bouroughshane. Do try the Thatch inn, great food, due eat in the lounge for a variety.
Margaret is very helpful and will take the time to find brochures so you can decide what to see in the area.
Her home is beautiful, out in the country with the most beautiful view..
She will go out of her way to make sure you get a great breakfast, I loved her scrambled eggs.
You will not be disappointed in staying at this great B and B.
Thanks Margaret for everything.

I have stayed in quarrytown lodge on numerous occasions and everytime it has been a pleasure, the rooms are cosy and comfortable with excellent countryside views. Margaret is an excellent host and nothing is to much trouble. It is an excellent base to explore the beautiful Northern Ireland and i would recommend it to anyone wishing to explore the area

My wife any myself stayed at the Quarrytownlodge B&B for 3nights, at the end of january while attending a friends wedding in Galgorm Spa Resort.
The Rooms were spotlessly clean, good sized and very comfy bed and pillows with a good sized ensuite with large shower towels and toiletries provided.

The breakfasts were wonderful, freshly cooked and brought to the table at a time that suited us, we particularly enjoyed the Ulster Fry with home baked wheatan bread, homemade marmalade and homemade jams. Fruit and a large selection of cereals were available for us to help ourselves.

The B&Bs location is super, it is located just 5minutes from the small village of Broughshane which has shops and restaurants and pubs, not to mention the beautiful flowers and plants which has won the village many awards, aside from that it is about 10minutes from the city centre of ballymena which we found very handy.

Would reccomend and would definately stay here again.

We came across Quarrytown Lodge purely by chance and were delighed with place. It is a beautiful and quiet location yet close enough to explore the Glens of Antrim and the North Coast.
The accommodation is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There is a fabulous conservatory and sitting area to relax and have a cup of coffee or tea.
Breakfast was very tasty and I will be back to sample some of Margarets delicious wheaten bread!

Room Tip: Rooms upstairs and downstairs are available

We are just back from a wonderful stay in the quarry town lodge b and b . My mum were attending a wedding at the Galgorm resort and spa . This was a short taxi ride away. Margaret greeted us with a very welcome pot of tea in the bright sun room. Our room was very warm and cosy . It was a lovely touch ,by a surprise ,of a hot water bottle in our beds each night . It gave us a great nights sleep!!! What a lovely touch as it was freezing outside!!the gardens are well maintained and very good parking space. We had a lovely hearty breakfast each morning .A great stay !!

I stayed here for 2 nights in early January 2012 for a business trip to Ballymena. The house is about 4 miles from the town centre and is close enough to nip into the town or taxi it. Private parking is good, large grounds, well presented. I received a warm welcome from Margaret and was shown the facilities to use. My room was upstairs, ensuite shower, clean and well presented. Very comfy bed and pillow, which is always good. A room heater was supplied to help keep me warm. Tea and coffee is available downstairs when required, and biscuits. I travelled alone and got a good sized triple room for £40 per night, a nice price for a solo traveller. From their website, £60 per night for twin or double (2 people). Overall I enjoyed my stay and was glad I stayed here.

Breakfast, cooked breakfast was offered at a time that suited me, great! 2 sausage, bacon, egg, 1 potato bread, toast, orange juice. And it was nice too.

Stay here again, yes I certainly would and I'd recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: my room at the back was nice
