Arrived here after a long day exploring the sights around Antrim and surrounding areas. Warmly welcomed by our host Robert who gave us some good tips on where to eat. Our room was the chintz, a comfortably decorated room. The tv was a bit old fashioned but I guess this is in keeping with the style of the room! Breakfast the next day was fab, a few cooked options available for selection the night before along with continental options on the sideboard. The dining room is quite grand and breakfast felt like a truly luxurious experience. A really relaxing spot and a wonderful base to explore the North! Some people might find the patchy wifi a problem but this was a non-issue for us.

Stayed here for two nights as a base to explore the North Coast.

Lodge consists for three rooms, all decorated in different styles. We stayed in the 'Chintz' room, a lovely big room, with comfortable big bed, and en-suite.

Greeted by the owner, Robert, here was there as quick as a flash when you needed something, and disappeared soon after to give you space.

Extremely clean, beautifully decorated, with breakfast just right to set you up for a day out and about.

Trust the recommendations for places to eat nearby, Some of them you would never find, or if you did, from the outside you certainly wouldn't enter!

Thank you for such a comfortable stay.

I was at Marlagh Lodge for lunch, and able to sit in the courtyard surrounded by herbs. Beautiful setting, good food and really excellent value. Herbs are freshly picked for your lunch and served in a really good salad with home made french dressing. Sponge cake was light and delicious. A charming venue which I would highly recommend.

Robert owns and runs a delightful b&b, well situated in the countryside just five minutes from Ballymena. Nothing is too much trouble for him, and his breakfasts are superb. Our bedroom was comfortable, and the separate bathroom was adequate. We had use of a residents lounge which was lovely. Overall we are happy to recommend Marlagh Lodge to the discerning traveller!

I took my friend to Marlagh Lodge for afternoon tea for her birthday recently. What a treat both for her and for me as well :-)
We had booked in advance and were shown to our table immediately. Having been brought our choice of beverages, we had a plate of gorgeous sandwiches. Alongside was a large platter of cut fruit which was beautifully presented. The scones were amazing and these were followed by a wide selection of buns, cakes, cheesecake slices, brownies, florentines, apple creams, etc. The quality of the food is excellent but the sheer amount of it makes this excellent value.
We admitted defeat and took some of the buns home with us for later and for the menfolks!!!
The atmosphere was really relaxing and we had the best gossip we had had for ages.
Many thanks and we will definitely be back.

Spent 4 nights here in very elegant surroundings, we felt like The Lord & Lady of the lodge. We were in the Chintz Room which was very spacious, comfortable bed & nice en-suite with a powerful shower.
We had B&B with 2 nights dinner which was excellent, beautifully cooked & presented.
Robert was very informative, helpful & helped us with recommendations for evening meal in Ballymena town.
There is a very large & eclectic selection of books particularly on hidden & lost houses & stately home in Ireland & Britain.
A big thank you for lovely hosts will recommend to anyone wanting to tour North of Ireland, easy drives to Giants Causway, coastal drive on Antrim etc. Robert helps with all of these drives & walks...

I stayed with Robert last Thursday initially for one night but came back again on the Saturday night It was so good. It is an old Victorian house with still working servants bells in each room. A very cosy room with a great breakfast and genuine welcome from your hosts no wonder when I tried to rebook the following Friday they were full.
