While on vacation this 12 May 14 I told my wife we must stop and take a look at the hotel. We walked in the front entrance and immediately took notice of a very large Canadian moose. The folks at the desk were most delightful and helpful. I took several photos as the hotel had a lot of warmth, charm and interesting history. I was introduced to Mongo The Moose and was pleasantly surprised how a moose would find itself way over in Ireland along the Causeway Coastal Route. Here in Atlantic Canada on the East Coast moose are plentiful and common to see but not in Ireland. Mongo was perched nicely upon entering the hotel and no doubt brought immediate conversation as it did when we arrived at the front desk.

We stayed in a family room in the hotel and during the day it was extremely warm! We would be sittin in the room after breakfast and the sweat would be pumping out of us!! In this room the window only opened about 5 inches!!! The food was lovely!! Another problem we issued was with a buggy it was very hard to get up and down stairs! We got a lift to the first floor which was only up a long, windy staircase! We were in room 134 and it took a lot steps to get to that room! It is a lovely hotel but these issues have to be fixed! The hotel would be for a couple with children who can walk up and down stair not a 5 month old baby! I would recommend this hotel to any1 but would clearly state out these problems!!

I arrived at the Londonderry Arms at 4.55pm with my parents and 6 yr old daughter and decided to stay for high tea at 5pm. Our order was taken at 5.10pm. The waitress returned to inform us that only one portion of a meal that two people ordered was available so my father chose steak instead. We requested that my daughters meal was brought with our starters. It was 25 minutes before we were taken to our table for dinner. Our starters came and were eaten and no kids meal arrived. I asked where it was and the waitress said she would ask. It was at 55mins after ordering that I asked again. When the kids meal finally arrived it was 2 chicken goujons and chips which isn't exactly rocket science to make. My fathers steak was also tough and fatty. Safe to say I won't be back

We have stayed in this delightful hotel several times on our Anniversary but this year celebrating 20 years we were delighted to have friends staying from the USA and it was great to introduce them to our Londonderry Arms. Food was excellent as always, staff were very attentive, though we missed seeing Joe who was having a day off! Our friends loved the food and the beautiful setting. Looking forward to coming back soon !

I phoned the Londonderry Arms yesterday to ask to book a table for next Sunday in the Coachhouse. I was "greeted" by a rather unfriendly receptionist who upon finding out that there was only two of us in the party replied "nah you cant book its first come first served"!! Charming indeed. We were there a few weeks back and had a lovely meal but we only just got a table as it was packed - good sign! However that day we noticed there was a reserved sign on a table that two people were seated at - however they were either locals or well known to the staff and the table was reserved for them. We aren't coming from around the corner to dine at The Coachhouse thus the reason we wanted to book to ensure a table. Obviously not being local or in the know with the staff it didn't happen!

On our holiday in antrim we had dinner here a few times. The food and service was excellent and made a refreshing change to the stereotypical offerings of the big hotel chains. If you want fresh food, the londonderry arms is well worth a visit and the wonderful coastal drive is a bonus
