Had lunch at this beautiful tea room. Nigel and Joann were the perfect hosts. Lunch was yummy and the Lemon Meringue Pie was to die for (Aussie expression for fantastic). All other cakes looked magnificent. The outlook scenery was awesome. Do yourself a favour and stop in at he Red Door Tea Rooms when travelling down the coast road in Northern Ireland.

This little cottage just oozes charm! Situated up a short lane from the road down to lovely Ballintoy harbour it is well worth arriving hungry and stopping off for lunch or coffee and cakes.
Décor is tasteful vintage without being over the top or cluttered.. The interior is bright, fresh and clean and there is plenty of outdoor seating in the neatly kept garden to enjoy on those sunny days.
The staff are wonderful... they are welcoming, genuinely friendly, attentive and helpful. The food is delicious, mostly homemade and using the best of local produce - their fish chowder and breads are to die for.
I have been back quite a few times while touring in this area and I am never disappointed.

We went to the giants causeway and called in here on the way back. The couple who ran it were very friendly and the good was delicious. It also had a lovely atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend to anyone passing that way.
