Spent one night there and enjoyed lunch, the spa and dinner. Every aspect of this hotel was fantastic. Food and service in restaurant could not be faulted, the spa is a real haven with superb customer service. Decor and cleanliness of hotel great, really cool hotel in beautiful surroundings. The very best thing however was the staff, friendly, engaging, polite and each member of the Lochside team a real credit to the hotel. We will definitely be back.

My mum, 8 month old and I stayed for one night, and booked a garden suite and cottage suite.

I didn't know what to expect as it seemed a reasonable price - but as we arrived we could see the hotel was in a lovely setting. Friendly check in, with the travel cot already in the room and dinner booked for us straight away.

We had a quiet area for the 3 of us in the restaurant even though a wedding was going on, and the food was really good. Service a little slow, but both mains, pudding and the cocktails were superb.

Although there was a wedding, there was no noise in the garden suite. My mum was out at the cottage suite and it had a lot of space with a sitting room, but smaller bed than mine.

Clean, modern and a good size room. Breakfast was fantastic too and nothing was too much trouble (requested whole milk for my baby and the staff made a fuss of her).

The spa looked lovely even though we didn't get a chance to use it. Check out was easy and friendly.

We will definitely stay again next time we are visiting the area - a lovely hotel, good food and very reasonable for what you get. Happy stay!

Room Tip: Garden suites have a bigger bed than the cottage suite. But cottage suite has living area with separate bedroom.

Just returned from a one night dinner, bed and breakfast stay at Lochside hotel. Could not fault anything. Three course dinner was fantastic, three of us dining, all ordered different meals and all thought quality, presentation and service were brilliant. Rooms spacious, modern and bed comfortable. Will definitely return. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

We visited Lochside for a bar supper & then were back for a 40th birthday party. The staff cannot do enough to make sure you enjoy your time with them. The food is excellent and there is plenty of it. Hotel is spotless & staff are very friendly and courteous. 110% highly recommendable.

Room Tip: The only noise you hear is the birds chirping in the morning.

My husband and I stayed on the 30th June with four of our friends, we had tapas and cocktails at lunch the portions were very generous and the presentation was magnificent same again for our evening meal, quality of food was outstanding. We also had a few treatments at the spa very relaxing, staff very professional. All members of staff in the restaurant are very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely return. If booking a room I would recommend a garden suite, bit more expensive but worth it.

Room Tip: I would book a garden suite if staying over .
