We were very impressed by the high quality and style of this cottage. The owners were very pleasant and had left home made bread and eggs from their own chickens for our arrival, which was lovely. There was also hot chocolate and herbs in the cupboard. The cottage was very bright and airy with lovely open views from all aspects and a completely peaceful location, but was only a half mile from the swing park, the post office and a nice cafe/restaurant/deli if we didn't feel like cooking. There was lots to do in the area and there were tourist books in the cottage, although it was nice to sit with a drink, and look at the hills and the cows.
The decor is modern and stylish, with nice nick-nacks and lovely throws on the beds. The owners have taken care and provided high quality equipment, knives etc. (There's nothing worse than a cheap bendy knife!) We will definitely be back to this lovely part of Scotland and most definitely will stay in this beautiful cottage when we do return.
