We're so glad you enjoyed your week here, its a great time to visit. We know many families with teenagers appreciate the unlimited free wifi but are also pleased you enjoyed the blackcurrant jam from our garden/kitchen and the home made bread and fresh eggs too!
Very best wishes and we hope to see you again on another trip.

“Wonderful holiday at The Old Dairy!”
Reviewed 30 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

I had a lovely stay at The Old Dairy near Loch Lomond. It was beautifully furnished, neat and tidy. The owners kindly left a few food items for us upon our arrival, which was a very nice touch. They gave us many suggestions about where to go for day trips and were incredibly helpful. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time there, as it was a great place to holiday and close to many locations for exciting day trips in the area. I would recommend The Old Dairy to anyone!

“Fabulous accommodation with lovely views”
Reviewed 27 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

My wife and I took our 5-month old son to stay in The Old Dairy for a week. It was our first family holiday as a three so we were looking for a home from home where we could relax in enough space, whatever the weather. We couldn't have been more pleased when we turned up with the stunningly decorated accommodation and warm welcome. We had some basic provisions in the fridge and larder so we could have tea and biscuits on arrival and homemade bread and fresh eggs (from the owners' chooks) for breakfast.

The accommodation itself is lovely land modern, having been open around a year since it was fitted out. The quality of fixtures and fittings is superb and gave us some ideas for some improvements we'd like to make to our own house. The beds were comfy and the owner very kindly lent us a travel cot for the baby so we didn't have to tale our own.

In terms of views, you look out across open fields with cattle grazing whilst listening to Oyster Catchers flying overhead, watching the chickens pecking about in the yard. We used the BBQ on several evenings and truly enjoyed the peace and quiet in the beautiful surroundings.

I was silly enough to leave a camera lens behind which Deborah, the owner, very kindly posted back to me, trusting me to pay her back later. I really couldn't fault the service we received before, during and after our stay - absolutely first class.

We will most certainly consider going back again as there is so much to see and do in the area and we simply loved The Old Dairy.

“Light and spacious holiday cottage with wonderful views over the Scottish hills.”
Reviewed 20 May 2013 for a stay in April 2013

You don't need to be an architect to appreciate the amount of daylight lighting up this home. The vaulted ceiling creates an extra sense of space and the placing of windows allows for beautiful views over the hills. The stove warms the cottage and is cosy.
The cottage is fully equipped and nicely decorated. Outside our girls enjoyed the trampoline.
The owners were helpful when we needed information about the west highland way. They were even so friendly to drop us off at Balmaha.
The Barn is worth the visit!

Lovely place to stay - beautiful place, very quiet and the blackout blind in bedroom made it a good place to sleep. We appreciated the freshly baked bread, free-range eggs and stove laid ready to light. Didn't get time to read any of the books, play Scrabble or go on the indoor trampoline - will have to go again. Very fast WiFi. Lovely shower.

Liked best: Very well maintained and beautiful property
Liked least: Mattress was getting a bit worn but think it had a thick mattress protector on it - I slept fine but my husband, who had a sore back at the time, didn't. The mattress was the only thing that wasn't to a high standard.

“A thoroughly enjoyable stay - very clean and comfortable accommodation. Can't wait to come back again!”
Reviewed 10 May 2013 for a stay in May 2013

Our stay in 'The Old Diary' was extremely pleasant. It has all the modern features you would expect from such well-appointed accommodation. We particularly enjoyed the modern stove, which we lit every night with wood provided by the owners. The freshly baked bread and mouth-watering coffee awaiting our arrival was a nice touch too.

“Little piece of heaven”
Reviewed 22 February 2013 for a stay in February 2013

My boyfriend and I went to the old dairy for a weekend away from the city. The location of this cottage is lovely. We arrived at night, drove up the farm track and saw the little cottage waiting for us. The fire was ready to light, fresh flowers, fresh bread and coffee waiting for us. It was immaculately clean. The cottage is even nicer in reality than it looks in the pictures, it is renovated to a very high standard, underfloor heating, solid wood fixtures and attention to detail. It is both spacious and cosy at the same time! The bathroom isn't shown in the pictures but is also fab with a slate floor and huge bath.
Waking up to look out of the sky light on to the farm and seeing fields for miles and little chickens running around made the weekend even more relaxing.
The owners were lovely, very welcoming, genuine and helpful.
I'd definitely recommend the old dairy and hope to go again soon!
