“Amazing cottage!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 October 2013 for a stay in March 2013

My sister, a friend and me had a great time at The Old Dairy. Deborah and her partner have really thought through what a place needs to be perfect for a holiday. The fireplace, the beds, the bread and marmalade. All lovely. They were really helpful and nice hosts, living quite close by was quite handy for questions and sorting out the internet. Really recommend this place.

“Relaxing retreat in picturesque scotland!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Just returned from a 2nd visit to the cosy accommodation of the Old Dairy. Pleased with the welcome touches of bread jam eggs etc, and the overall. Surprised at how much was included under self catering, so made the holiday trouble free and relaxing. Lots to see and do in the local area, and a breath taking view not too far away. Would definately recommend and already looking forward to visiting again. Deborah and Steve, have been a pleasure to deal with both before during booking and throughout the holiday.

“A little gem of a place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We have just returned from a wonderful week in this fantastic new property. It had everything we needed and more, clean, well equipped and it is oh so warm due to the very modern insulation. There is a wood burning log stove which I was very eager to try out, but the place was so warm it would have been a waste to get it going. The shower is fantastic, it is powerful - always a bonus. The location makes it very handy for exploring the surrounding area and with a train station so near a bit of retail therapy in Glasgow can be squeezed in on the rainy days.

“Wonderful holiday at The Old Dairy!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

I had a lovely stay at The Old Dairy near Loch Lomond. It was beautifully furnished, neat and tidy. The owners kindly left a few food items for us upon our arrival, which was a very nice touch. They gave us many suggestions about where to go for day trips and were incredibly helpful. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time there, as it was a great place to holiday and close to many locations for exciting day trips in the area. I would recommend The Old Dairy to anyone!

“Fabulous accommodation with lovely views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

My wife and I took our 5-month old son to stay in The Old Dairy for a week. It was our first family holiday as a three so we were looking for a home from home where we could relax in enough space, whatever the weather. We couldn't have been more pleased when we turned up with the stunningly decorated accommodation and warm welcome. We had some basic provisions in the fridge and larder so we could have tea and biscuits on arrival and homemade bread and fresh eggs (from the owners' chooks) for breakfast.

The accommodation itself is lovely land modern, having been open around a year since it was fitted out. The quality of fixtures and fittings is superb and gave us some ideas for some improvements we'd like to make to our own house. The beds were comfy and the owner very kindly lent us a travel cot for the baby so we didn't have to tale our own.

In terms of views, you look out across open fields with cattle grazing whilst listening to Oyster Catchers flying overhead, watching the chickens pecking about in the yard. We used the BBQ on several evenings and truly enjoyed the peace and quiet in the beautiful surroundings.

I was silly enough to leave a camera lens behind which Deborah, the owner, very kindly posted back to me, trusting me to pay her back later. I really couldn't fault the service we received before, during and after our stay - absolutely first class.

We will most certainly consider going back again as there is so much to see and do in the area and we simply loved The Old Dairy.

“Light and spacious holiday cottage with wonderful views over the Scottish hills.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2013 for a stay in April 2013

You don't need to be an architect to appreciate the amount of daylight lighting up this home. The vaulted ceiling creates an extra sense of space and the placing of windows allows for beautiful views over the hills. The stove warms the cottage and is cosy.
The cottage is fully equipped and nicely decorated. Outside our girls enjoyed the trampoline.
The owners were helpful when we needed information about the west highland way. They were even so friendly to drop us off at Balmaha.
The Barn is worth the visit!
