“A Wee Gem!”
Reviewed 2 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Awesome find by my boyf!

All stemmed from a wedding in Ayr - turned into a nice Scottish mini-break.

Just us 2 arriving on a sunny afternoon, receiving a very warm welcome from Deborah plus very handy info regarding a local agricultural show the very next day.

Open the front door to the smell of fresh bread!!! Along with butter, homemade marmalade, fresh milk, fresh eggs, ground coffee, posh biscuits, crisps and hot chocolate - what more can a girl wish for suffering Friday rush hour traffic with a minging hangover?! :)

All mod cons, breathtaking views from every window, WiFi which is key for us (both self employed needing to be able to respond in an instant via email), the most comfortable beds ever (we're mattress hunting this weekend) and a nice big bath.

Within an hour of being back home in Yorkshire we'd rebooked with Deborah & Steve for November for my Mum's birthday in the Curlew Cottage next door.

Deborah & Steve are truly salt of the earth kinda people and their Eco-cottages are impeccable and 5 star.

Lovely to meet you both and we very much appreciate you rebooking so quickly; we're sure you'll enjoy the larger cottage and coming back for a winter break gives you every excuse to enjoy the under floor heating and the wood burning stove!
Very best wishes, Deborah

“Lovely place in the country”
Reviewed 23 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We stayed at the Old Dairy over the easter weekend and had a fantastic time.

The cottage - It has been modernised to an excellent standard with all mod cons. The main room is so bright with great views across the field. We were lucky enough to be able to sit out on the nice patio but I could see it being a great place to sit inside in the winter with the wood burner. The kitchen units and bathrooms are of a very high standard. Lastly it's worth mentioning some of the goodies that were there when we arrived, fresh eggs, biscuits, tablet, milk to name just a few things which was a really nice touch.

Location - ideal location in the country and you can walk to Loch Lommond shore. There is also walks round the countryside where you can get fantastic views. 10 minute walk from a small village and 5-10 mins in the car from Balloch if you are looking for more life.

Booking/Communications - we enquired using holiday rentals on tripadviser and Deborah was in touch quickly. Communications were great and it was so easy to book.

All in all it was a great place to stay and look forward to staying again in the future.

“Idyilic home from home”
Reviewed 15 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

My husband and our two young children (ages 5 and 2) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Dairy, East Cambusmoon Farm and cannot recommend it highly enough. East Cambusmoon Farm is set in a stunning countryside location 12 miles from Balloch. The cottage itself was lovely and clean, and was very well equipped. The owners were extremely kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The welcome goody pack (including home made bread and eggs from their chickens) was lovely. They also provided us with a box of books, toys and movies for the children which was fantastic! From a parent point of view, the cottage was very child friendly, the children shared a room but since they do so at home this wasn't at all an issue. The beds were all really comfortable. There was a bathroom downstairs for them too and the bath a good size to bathe them together. Its a good location to be based, we found lots to see and do during our stay. The children especially enjoyed themselves, my youngest asked if we could stay on holiday forever! I wish! We would be delighted to return.

“Beautiful cottage in gorgeous setting”
Reviewed 26 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We have had a brilliant few days in the Old Dairy - such a warm and welcoming eco cottage with all mod cons and the most fantastic log burner. Deborah is so friendly and provided a welcome basket of goodies on arrival - lovely home made bread - just needed some jam to go with it! Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone - easy reach to Glasgow too. Loved the soap too- must get some when we move up! Thank you for making our trip a lovely break away.

Thank you for your lovely comments, we're glad your family had such a lovely stay here. We buy the lovely hand soap from Lomond Soap not only for its superb quality and scent but also the fact that it is palm oil free and hand made by a local business. Thanks for your compliments on the home made bread and I'm going to make sure that this year I make even more jam from our garden produce so there is enough for everyone to enjoy!

“Comfortable, clean and cosy!”
Reviewed 18 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We took our six month old baby for his first getaway here, was perfect. The attention to detail in the cottage meant we didn't want for anything and everything was immaculate. The area was beautiful, the view from the top of 'The Dumpling' was spectacular!! Loved being there, especially seeing the Loch washed in gorgeous autumn colours. Returning to the cottage and getting the wood burner roaring and settling down for a cosy night was the perfect end to the day. Couldn't rate this place more highly, we are really looking forward to another visit!
