Return visit after playing it on our golf trip (16 golfers)September 2012 when everything was great. This time the course was in poor condition both fairways and greens. Tees of the day were level with the ladies course. Clubhouse staff didn't seem interested, service poor. We won't be going back.

Yhe course is kept in excellent condition and has superb views over the Forth. The course is demanding, not least because of the sloping greens but golf is mamageable there for most players. The club house is lovely and the vfood really good.

We spent the night at the Lodge and played a round of golf. What a treat and what a venue. If you like golf and good accommodations you must try this one. The weather was great and the course a real challenge. We loved it and recommend it highly

The restaurant and bar are open to non-members. Excellent facilities, large, bright area for bar lunches or just coffee and a well laid out restaurant with a nice garden area. Wonderful views over the course and the coastline stretching as far as the eye can see. We stopped by for Saturday lunch in the restaurant. Food is well presented and delicious. Not a huge menu choice and nothing too fancy mainly the standard favourites. I had melon followed by steak pie while my companions all plumped for the Stornoway black pudding starter and fish and chips. We ate every morsel it was so good. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Great atmosphere, a real mix of people, golfers having a post match drink, couples lunching, and the occasional group all dressed in their Sunday best for a family celebration.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. We played golf everyday surrounded by breathtaking views of the coast and then retired to our room which was very spacious and absolutely spotless.
Our room overlooked the course and with stunning views over the bay. ALL the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming especially Clark who looked after us in the restaurant and bar. The food was of a high standard and nicely presented.
All in all, we would highly recommend staying at the Lodge, golfer or not, you won't be disappointed.
We will DEFINATELY go back.

May we take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to ALL at the Craigielaw Golf Lodge for making us feel so welcome.
