The site has a fancy new reception area, the money could have been better spent on new toilet and shower facilities. The showers will switch to cold without any obvious reason and are very outdated. This is a pity because the hard pitches are fairly generous and well equiped

Found this site in my MCC book. Booked on for 2 nights but ended up stopping 3.
Great hardstandings with water and electric behind pitch. Yeh the toilets aren't upto CCC sites but they are clean and have all you need. Showers are ample and have loads of hot water.
Ample fresh water points, with a chemy waste and grey water dump.
Andrew the owner is a luvly chap. So friendly. Never stops working.
Caters for caravans, motorhomes, tents and has camping pods.
Some great walks to the nature reserve and beaches. Pubs and Indian, shop is a 10 minute stroll.
Highly recommended.

We wanted a caravan/campsite not too far away from Edinburgh (the youngest is at Uni there)
This fits the bill.
It's the old railway station, a victim of Beeching's cuts
They have incorporated a lot of the old infrastructure into the site, there are pitches on the old platform.
Andrew and his dad are very friendly and welcoming, as well as keeping the site nice and tidy.
There are electric hook-ups, should you need it
Plenty of water points
Showers and toilet blocks with lashings of hot water.
The site is perfectly sighted to tour this area of the Lothian coast with great beaches within a few miles as well as the towns and cities
All in all a really good site.

A quiet caravan site, but a lovely place to stay for caravans, tents and motor homes, and they even have pods to rent.
A great place for sightseeing, cycling and you can jump on the bus and get straight to Edinburgh.
Andrew who runs the site is very helpful, and nothing is too much trouble.
There is also a dog grooming service on site, which seemed to be very popular for the dogs.
A thoroughly recommend site to stay, if your up that way, you won't be disappointed

Spent 4 nights here. The site was all we needed for a touring base of the area. The grounds are kept tidy and the grass short. The welcome from the manager on arrival was friendly. The toilet block is basic, but kept clean - perhaps time for an upgrade now. The Bothy, where you can make your own meals and shelter from inclement weather, is a good idea. Pitches are a bit tight but electric was reliable. All in all, a nice basic site, but nothing special.
