We stayed one night with my 90 year old mother in law in August. Despite booking at the last minute, they provided us with ground floor bedrooms on receipt of our email request, and booked us a table for an evening meal - they couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating.
The rooms were fine, and beds comfortable. The food, both at dinner and breakfast, was fine.

Had a fantastic weekend playing golf on the East Lothian Coast and was made more memorable by staying at the Ducks. Great hospitality from the moment we arrived. Food was great, good choice of ales. The whole atmosphere at the hotel was superb and thank you to Malcolm and his team for making our visit so enjoyable. Will definitely re visit in the future.

Well, what can I say. Just back from a weekend in Aberlady, spending 2 nights at the Ducks Hotel with friends. From the moment we arrived to our departure, we could not have been better looked after. You could not fault the food, service, room or the great selection of local beer. Plum for the East Coast Ale, my favourite. We look forward to visiting the Ducks and enjoying the owner's very genuine welcoming hospitality. P.s. Make sure you pay the Duck's golf game...plenty of balance and an accurate eye will reward those brave enough to attempt it!!

Just back from a golfing weekend in Aberlady, spending 2 nights at the Ducks Hotel. What a welcome we had from the moment we arrived at reception to when we reluctantly left on the Sunday evening to fly home. Lovely clean room, plenty of parking, fantastic staff and the food, wow, both the Bistro and restaurant were first class, not a bad bottle of wine and some great local beers whilst sat in the terrific surroundings of the lovely bar area. Cant wait to visit again later in the year and comes highly recommended from our whole group. thanks for a fantastic stay.

We have stayed at Duck's a number of times over the past few years, playing golf at Gullane, Luffness etc. Malcolm and the team always try hard to make you feel very welcome. The bar is usually populated with a mix of guests and locals and as a result has a happy and relaxed atmosphere. The quality of the food in the restaurant has improved this year - so well done to the kitchen team. Rooms are fine for a few days / men playing golf etc, but the bathrooms would benefit from a refresh...

What a fantastic find in Scotland. Visiting friends and needed somewhere near Edinburgh but forgot The Fringe was on as well as the Tattoo!! Came across this hotel which looked good. A small village on the coast Aberlady and only a 20 minute train journey into Edinburgh. Lovely clean room, plenty of hot water and comfy bed. Excellent food and the staff were very friendly, nothing too much trouble. Well stocked bar and good menu choices in the Bistro. Yes the floorboards did creak but it is a very old place with plenty of character. We had a room near a door to the corridor but were not disturbed by any noise. Would thoroughly recommend
