“Fantastic two nights”
Reviewed 9 March 2014

We said at silverdykes caravan site near anstruther it was peaceful and the views across the Firth of Forth worth seeing even though it was blowing a gale the site made up for it.
Just a short walk to anstruther and great costal walks for dogs. The toilets were clean and warm and the family who owed it couldn't be more helpful. We'll worth a visit at any time of year

We have visited the site for two short breaks so far, and are eager to return whenever the opportunity arises. Silverdykes has lots going for it such as:
- being family operated. It is obvious that the owners are extremely passionate about their business, and the way in which it is run.
- generous pitch sizes with easy manoeuvrability.
- great views from the site which directly overlooks the coast.
- modern shower block with well thought out fit-out.
- lovely coastal walks from Crail in one direction to Anstruther and Elie in the other.
- great pubs + restaurants within short walking distance, with St. Andrews only a short drive away.
We look forward to returning regularly!

We stayed at Silverdyke for 4 nights and had a fantastic time. The owners are very friendly and provided us with loads of local information from walks to pubs! The site has 30 fully serviced pitches which are a good size and accommodated our twin axle caravan no problem! The views across to the Isle of May are amazing! Toilets on the site are modern and spotless. There is a pub/restaurant within 10 minutes walk of the site. The Fife coastal path is also within minutes of the site. Well worth a visit, we will definitely be back!

Its very nice going to hotels to stay in but with these days of recession we bought a caravan, a small two berth tourer. We were caravanners years ago but gave it up. I love it. We saw that Silverdykes were starting up and decided to try it out. I am sitting in the wee caravan at the moment at Silverdykes writing this. The first thing that gets you when you approach the reception area is how clean the place is, next is how warm and friendly the staff are.. Gwen is a lovely lady and gave us a choice of pitches. Now, as I have stated in previous reports I am a big guy, I weigh in at 38 st. How on earth can I get in a two berth caravan? ....simple, I borrow a magic key from Santa. We chose the Black, number 1 pitch. This is as close to the disabled toilets that you can get. We always go on the cleanliness of the toilets and the disabled ones are spotless. I have stayed in some that are not but if any of you are disabled or are as big as me then please believe me when I tell you that this site is not full of noisy kids making fun of you. It is welcoming and friendly and the views of the sea are magical. We have explored the little fishing villages around the place, sampled the fish and chips...tasted the ice cream and really have enjoyed our stay so far. We have another two days to go.....as someone said in a film once upon a time, " I`ll be back"........Big Jim...and my wife Anne, who puts up with me.....

Had the weekend here. Owners were very nice and helpful.
The site is well kept and the toilets are well thought out.
Still needs a few extras to bring it up to a 5 star site but being the first season I imagine they have lots planned for the future.

Anstruther
Loved it, plenty to see and do.

Can't wait to revisit next year and see the site finished

Stayed for one night in our motorhome. We tend to choose sites with an excellent toilet block, which this certainly was, and within walking distance of a town for pubs and restaurants. The girl was extremely helpful and welcoming, giving us a choice of several pitches. We will definitely go back another time for a longer stay. Walked into Anstruther for a pint in the Boathouse, followed by the famous fish and chips which lived up to their excellent reputation.
