We stayed one night at this hotel in mid April. The main hotel and restaurant is located on the street facing the harbor with some of the other buildings set back facing a courtyard. The street is quiet and picturesque. Our room was very spacious and modern. The shower had some of the best water pressure I have seen in Europe. The room and especially the bathroom could use better lighting but overall it was a nice room. Our room did not have a water view. It was a ground level room with a view of the courtyard but we had to keep the blinds shut because anyone in the courtyard would be able to see inside the room. The room was a bit noisy because as people would come into the house they would slam the door and we would hear the door getting slammed every single time as our room was on the ground floor next to the main entrance. There was no door slamming throughout the night but it started as early as 8am so sleeping in would not have been an option. I asked for a Wi-Fi password but it did not work. My I-phone would not accept the password because it was too short in length so I am not sure if it was my phone’s fault or I was given the wrong password. Our room rate included breakfast. The food was tasty. I can really comment on customer service as we had very little interaction with the owners. The hotel does not have a parking lot but parking is free at night on the street and very cheap throughout the day.

Beautiful well kept clean modern rooms. Decor, furnishing and en suite are of very high quality standards. Lovely finishings and added personal touches with fresh flowers, bottled water and excellently stocked hospitality tray. Fantastic nights sleep. Housekeeping staff are very friendly, helpful and accomodating.
Breakfast and dinner were first class cooked to perfection and served with a smile!
All staff at the Waterfront are very friendly and helpful they cant do enough for you.
I would highly recommend the Waterfront and will be back again!

Excellent accomodation, rooms were lovely set out and so clean, the bathroom was so big you could hold a party in it. Food very tasty and plenty of it presented lovely with staff checking everything was ok throughout. The staff were very pleasant and very helpfull , we had a puncture on the morning we were leaving and the waitress phoned a garage and organised everything to get us on our way. We only stayed one night this time but will be back for more.

Location is not bad, right at the harbor but it seems all rooms are set back from the front so you don't get all the street noise (which is low anyway). Restaurant not bad either, won't win Michelin stars but it will fill you comfortably. Rooms, modern, at least the one we stayed at. Clean too. Very big bed, but, the mattrass, not very good, we both had back aches not long after. Was also a bit noisy with sounds of rooms above, corridor and plumbing. I would still recommend it as the price is so low you can live with the rest easily.

Stayed in the family room in the old bakehouse. Fantastic room very spacious more like a suite, could have quite happily lived in this room. Very clean, very family friendly. Lots of nice little extra personal touches such as bottled water in the room and umberellas by the door for guests to use. A little hidden Gem. Would not hestitate to reccomend. Breakfast was excellent with a very varied choice.

Just a quick review to say that we had an excellent two night stay at the Waterfront in late August. The rooms are large and clean - the beds are massive - and have everything you could want. The location, right by Anstruther Harbour is perfect and allows exploration of all of this part of Scotland. We visited St Andrews and a number of other lovely coastal towns during our two days. If the weather allows this is a fab place for coastal walking and the walk from Anstruther to Crail was excellent.
Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent, lots of choice and large portions to set you up for a day out. I have to recommend the smoked haddock with poached eggs! We had one evening meal in the restaurant which was also very nice with lots of fresh seafood to choose from.

Excellent stay and excellent value for money. Only minor negative is if you have noisy neighbours the sound proofing in the room could be better!!
