“For the best fish and chips in Crail”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

Whenever we come to Crail, the place to go for some great fish and chips (or other delicious meals) is the Fish Bar. Eventhough the restaurant was very busy with take away, we got a very friendly service.

“Excellent fish”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

When visiting Crail, there is no need to travel to Anstruther for good fish and chips. The grilled smoke haddock came with a lovely salad and coleslaw. We have never tasted such lovely cooked fish. One of us had battered smoked haddock, which I hadn't heard of before. Very friendly family business, only opened a year ago.
There was a queue to the doorfor the takeaway.but we chose to sit in the seated area. Very good value with freshly supplied local fish.

“Lobster for just over £10”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

My wife had the Lobster sale and chips and was suitably delighted with the sweet half lobster, excellent salad(though you can lay off the cheese), and lovely fresh chips(It is a chip shop).

I had breaded haddock, mushy peas and chips and we had tea and coffee all for around £20. there are no alcoholic drinks but it has quick efficient and friendly service. you can book when they expect t to be busy.

Hopefully there success doesn't change it or that they rest on their laurels. Give t a try.

“Great fish, great place!”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

My wife and I visited the Crail Fish Bar yesterday and each of us had a terrific meal. The smoked haddock just melted in your mouth and the crab salad was brilliant, both accompanied by some of the best chips you’ll find anywhere. If you are in the area and want great fresh fish and chips and other seafood too, this is the place to go!!

“Super fish supper”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

Last year and this (July 2014) we visited the Crail Fish Bar during our visit to the East Neuk Festival. On both occasions we were really impressed by the quality of the haddock and chips - the fish is delivered fresh each day and cooked to order, so couldn't be better. The service is friendly and welcoming. We were there with my elderly father, who uses a wheel chair - Slightly difficult to access the indoor tables, but we were helped and made very welcome by all the staff. Highly recommended. Not surprisingly, the restaurant was busy in the evening with other Festival-goers!
