We visited Kingarroch last Sunday for lunch with four friends. Over the years it has been a regular place for us to visit with friends and this visit was one of the most pleasant. Menu choice was excellent and offered at a fair price. Seat location was fine but a little cold for some of our party. Staff were exceptionally attentive and pleasant. Kingarroch is what it is and we have rarely if ever been disappointed, regardless of the owners. One of our most enjoyable visits helped by the excellent of our company.

Had lunch here using an Itison Voucher, which does seem how this business has and continues to progress it’s business.
However when you then add supplements as I experienced +£2 for chicken it does make it feel rather penny pinching and reduces the experience of dining here.
Please either stop Itison or increase the Itison voucher price but create a menu without supplements.
On this occasion I paid the extra supplement and had the chicken breast, which was extremely dry and very disappointing compared to the quality I have experienced in the past.
Made use of the lovely beer garden prior to lunch and service although slow was very efficient.

Booked this restaurant after a gap of 20 years. Wonderful surprise! Attentive staff, fantastic food ( managed all three courses) good choice of wine and ended a superb meal with coffee and liqueur!! Not cheap but reasonably priced for what we had. Will definitely come again to try afternoon tea or lunch this time. Don’t want to go on too much about how good it was as I’ll shoot myself in the foot and be unable to book!!!

Visited this inn with my friend for a birthday meal. The food was excellent and the service prompt but not overbearing. We had the set menu which was good value. The only slight drawback was the table. It was in the recess so did not allow us views of the garden which was beautiful in the May sunshine. However if you wanted an intimate table this would be ideal. Overall great food and a lovely place for lunch.

We had a 2 course lunch here today, and we were most impressed. There is a small car park at the side of the building with access down a few steps. The decor is very nice featuring the stone of the old building which has been totally renovated. We were warmly greeted in the very busy restaurant and shown straight away to our table. We were using an Itison voucher which entitled us to a starter and a main course each for £16. The selection on the menu was good and we decided on the soup of the day and a chicken parfait served with oatcakes. Both were delicious. Our main course was the home made fish pie which again was very tasty and the filling changes every day. The fish pie was served with leaves however a more substantial meal could be made up from the selection of sides on offer. A good tasty meal for the money. Would probably eat here again.
