We stayed here for one night whilst visiting friends who live in Cupar. Ferrymuir is a stunning building, full of light, with gorgeous fittings and furnishings. As my boyfriend and I are more hill walking, outdoorsy types this was a lovely treat for us, but I did sometimes feel we were making the place look untidy!
John and Mary are excellent hosts, friendly and helpful; they even offered us a lift to our friends' house! The room was really lovely, with a fabulous bathroom, and the little touches like fresh fruit, chocolate and water were fab - and a glass of wine on arrival delightful! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and I only wish I could've managed to eat more!
All in all, a lovely night away, my only *tiny* criticism being that they do not take card payments, and this isn't mentioned on the website. Luckily, though, we had the cash on us!
We will definitely recommend you to our friends and family. Thank you.

Just returned from an overnight stay at Ferrymuir Stables to celebrate my birthday. What can I say.............absolute perfection!

When you enter into John and Mary's home you instantly feel relaxed. A beautiful, light and airy hallway leads you through to the most exquisite and luxurious bedrooms where every detail has been though of. Outstanding decor to the highest specification, and a bathroom to die for, just perfect in every way.

John and Mary are most welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel at home, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing and was a great way to end our stay at The Stables.

Safe to say that we will be back, this is too good for just one visit..........fantastic, we both loved it!

Pristine accommodation and lovely helpful hosts. Rooms really comfy with lots of nice touches like fresh fruit set ready as well as usual tea and coffee. Even chocolate in fridge! Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Delicious breakfast of quality fayre, shared at communal table with a couple of other visitors, so nice to chat over breakfast. Very civilised. Cupar is in a good position geographically with some good dining locally and we would recommend it as a fine alternative to St Andrews.

Ferrymuir Stables is an exceptional find....an oasis in the heart of Cupar. Mary & John Millar, true professionals with years in the B&B business, have created a luxurious retreat with every imaginable comfort, offering impeccable service, five star in every respect. This is unlike any other traditional B&B. John & Mary have transformed, with a touch of genius, an old stone stable complex into an amazingly inviting space, with attention paid to every detail, from radiant floors, high ceilings, large open spaces with lovely personal touches. Breakfast was a dining event, better than most you might find in the best of hotels. Our spacious en-suite room was stocked with fresh fruit, towels & linens daily. Perfectly warm & gracious, always available to assist in any way, Mary & John truly made our visit to the Kingdom of Fife memorable. A great base for exploring this region of Scotland. Absolutely recommend without hesitation....a delightful surprise.

Ferrymuir Stables is without question an excellent B&B. The accommodation is absolutely exquisite. The breakfasts likewise! However, most of all it is the kindness of the hosts, Mary and John, and their thoughtfulness towards their guests every need, which we will always remember. They are to be thoroughly recommended. Indeed we look forward immensely to staying with them next June, when our son graduates from University.
Two further poignant comments, firstly, the house is a perfect oasis of calm and tranquility. (yet easily accessible from both Dundee and St Andrews.) Secondly, the surrounding pastoral countryside and picturesque fishing villages of NE Fife are truly delightful.

Cathy and Jim Walker.

A truly beautiful find, my husband stumbled across this B&B on the interenet and what a beautiful building, hosts and stay it was. Every detail catered for, rooms stunning with so many personal touches. Hosts couldnt be more welcoming and friendly. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful, so much so we couldnt eat it all! Would definately be recommending to friends and family.

Mary and John could not have been more perfect hosts if they had tried. I stayed for three nights whilst away on business and their very luxurious room was a wonderful relaxing environment to return to each evening. It was a perfect base and fantastic 5* B&B experience. Very good value too. The great breakfasts set me up for the day! I hope to be back for a holiday very soon. Claire.
