It’s difficult really to add anything to the reviews that have already been posted. Ferrymuir Stables is a fantastic B&B maintained to the highest standards by Mary & John. The rooms are large and beautiful and include lots of really nice extras such as fresh fruit and bottled water & chocolate in the fridge. Each has a large flat screen TV and Ipod dock.

Mary & John are wonderful hosts and cannot do enough to help. There is lots of choice at breakfast and the food is lovely. Mary provided an early breakfast on our last day as we had a long journey back to the south coast and even included a packed lunch to save us from motorway café’s!

In summary, the whole experience is excellent and really good value for money. I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else when we next visit Cupar.

Quite literally you would run out of superlatives to describe how fantastic a B&B this is. Mary was accommodating in every way from the moment I called to book insisting that she would sort everything from early check in to booking tables for meals during our two night stay.

On arrival we were greeted with tea, biscuits and a beer. As Mary said we were on holiday after all!! We were welcomed into the home like family. The house itself needs to be seen and I don't think I could do it justice.

Breakfast was as good as any we have ever had and John's service was exemplary even taking time to introduce us to the other guests.

Whether you want to visit the local attractions or have a cosy weekend away this place is a must. I know we'll be back.

Richard & Ali, Edinburgh.
ps. thanks for the strawberry tarts, a lovely touch.

when people write a review it is to be based on things like service, value, quality, cleanliness, location & what you liked or disliked, so here goes.the first 5 things absolutely perfect ! we liked/loved the breakfast & free treats and there was nothing that we can think of that we disliked at all.mary & john, for us, were so nice and welcoming , we could have stayed for longer it was so perfect .would certainly recommend this beautiful place to anyone who wants a place to chill & relax and with only the 3 rooms, it is so peaceful.ps my wife said if she wins the lottery ( we wish) she would like to buy ferrymuir so you better hurry and book now.

Why the title? Well everything that the other reviews mention is spot on and I am basically just reiterating what other people have said. Property is quite simply stunning fantastic and could quite easily have been featured on grand designs! The room we stayed in was lovely and full of nice touches like a fresh fruit bowl, chocolate in the fridge, notebook in the room, luxury towels and dressing gowns etc that just make the whole stay feel that bit more special. Breakfast was excellent and plenty to choose from, anywhere that has Stornoway black pudding instantly gets a 5* for breakfast in my book! Mary and John are excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. Overall our stay was excellent and Cupar and the surrounding area was lovely and can safely say we will be back and would recommend it to anyone. Gordon and Kay

Just returned from an overnight stay with friends at Mary & John's Ferrymuir B & B. Go back some years with Mary & John when we stayed with them at their Westfield House B & B. The hospitality nor the standard has changed which in the past was outstanding but in fact if anything here the ante has been raised. This is definitely 5 * ++ . I think I can safely say better than most hotels we've stayed in. The imposing entrance hall, the state of the art orangerie and bedroom with ensuite to die for. Beautiful decor and not a professional designer in site. All chosen by Mary & John. Mary said when I enquired she was just a good shopper but I think she's being modest there's much more to it than that. In the bedroom we had fresh fruit, tea/coffee making facilites and bottled water and chocolate in the fridge. Fluffy dressing gowns and towels in the ensuit with the huge walk in shower. We were even offered a drink when we arrived as well as tea and coffee. As we were dining at a local restaurant, John drove us there. Breakfast in the morning was superb. You name it and they could provide it and the quality was first class. What more could you ask for. An experience par excellence. We could not fault anything. We will definitely be returning

We stayed overnight to enjoy the 30 year's anniversay of Ostlers Close - a fabulous restaurant in Cupar run by Amnda and Jimmy. This property is simply stunning. We received a warm and friendly welcome form Mary when we arrived and she showed us to our beautiful room. This is one of the most fabulous guest houses we have ever had the pleasure to stay in and we will definitely be back very soon. Luxurious room with 6* quality - a notebook with wi-fi access, a fruit plate, superior toiletries, terry dressing gowns and bar service on tap. We have stayed in many fabulous hotels in out time but the personal touch from Mary and John was lovely and very much appreciated, John drove us to the restaurant for our dinner reservation - what hotel ever does that without asking? Breakfast in the morning was wonderful - something for everyone. Can't wait to get back there soon. Thank you - Stewart & Violet X

Room Tip: Please give this a try - simply fabulous.
