This is our second stay at this Inn as before the food was excellent and the locals make you feel like one of there own. We were lucky to have a lovely large room just to ourselves which was warm and comfortable. As before nothing was too much trouble and if you feel like a walk to work off the wonderful breakfast ask the locals and stroll through the Falkland estate you will love the scenery and wonderful woods and birdlife. Already looking forward to our return in the summer when we hope to be staying longer.

Spent two nights here while exploring the area and greatly enjoyed time spent here. Staff were helpful, suitable for families and enjoyed the meals served. Falkland Pace is across from the Inn and Falkland is a very pleasant place to visit

The Bruce Inn was a lovely little B&B, the staff were very helpful and friendly and perfectly situated in a pretty little village. They allowed my dog and provided us a table for dinner. They were also flexible with breakfast time the following morning. The room was clean and cozy and quiet enough for a good sleep. We would definitely go again. Also there's lovely walks in the area. Well worth a visit. The price and hospitality was very reasonable indeed.

Stayed here while visiting the Palace over the weekend. Room was OK but the thin carpet had a large stain just inside the door and the towels where a little on the small side. Bed was a small double but comfortable. Did not expect to share a bathroom with room no 1. Over the weekend the bin was not emptied, cups not washed or replaced and towels had to last all weekend. Room was not tidied or bed made. Hot water apparently runs from a boiler and storage and, if as we were, unlucky enough to want a shower at 4.00 in the afternoon, there may not be any hot water. Did not eat here and enjoyed the Lomand's food.

The Bruce could do with a little rethink about what it's trying to be when it comes to accommodation. It is outdated and tired and the prices are such you should expect more.

Once again, we can only apologise. On investigation, it would appear that our housekeeper had asked a junior member of staff to assist with the servicing of the rooms. Clearly, on reflection, not a great help! We did though discount the stay by one free night by way of apology. Peter.

We had booked a room in the hotel itself but when we found out the room wasn't en-suite we were offered the holiday cottage above their other pub. What a lovely surprise, the cottage was very old and quaint, but modern inside. Quite noisy on the Saturday night as they have live music then, but we went downstairs and joined in, and had a really great night. We had our meals in the Bruce Inn itself and the food was lovely and the staff were very nice and very helpful. OK, so it's a bit run down but it was clean, and it didn't honestly bother us. I don't suppose it would be easy to upkeep such an old, historic building . Even the other guests spoke to everyone else at mealtimes. Will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: The holiday let isn't great if you have children with you, due to weekend music.
