We took the train to North Queensferry to get a closer look at the Forth Rail Bridge and went to Rankins for a late breakfast as the weather was freezing. We were glad we did! The place was really cosy inside and was doing a great trade on a chilly Thursday morning in January (has to be a good sign!). We ordered the full breakfast which was good value and very tasty. Even the scrambled eggs were good unlike many places which overcook them, plus the wee pot of seville marmalade was the same kind as I use at home. An added bonus was that we could see a bit of the bridge from the window and could watch the trains going over it. Would definitely recommend a visit and it fortifies you for the walk back over the Forth Road Bridge afterwards!
