It was a fantastic accommodation. Very comfortable and everything you need including WiFi. The kitchen facilities were excellent and the shower in the double room was fantatstic, unfortunately we only had a trickle of water in the other bathroom. We should have mentioned it, but didn't and all used the other bathroom. I think it is a new cottage in the group so it probably had a little teething problems. We did mention it when were leaving and the owner said we should have told them and they would have fixed it. So it was our fault really. I had taken my elderly parents away for the week, and unfortunately we were limited on what we could do mobility wise. The beds were extremely hard and not good for arthritic bones and bad backs. Younger people would probably not mind so much, but we did struggle to sleep. The owners seemed very nice, and they left us freshly laid eggs and wine for our arrival. The views of Goat Fell over the Peacocks in the grounds was stunning. Over all the cottage was delightful and would definitely suit a family out to enjoy what Arran has to offer.
We stayed in the Heron Cottage at Kilmichael for 1 week in August. It was truly magnificant and a wonderful place to spend a relaxing, peaceful week on Arran. The cottage itself was of a very high standard and had everything you could possibly ask for. Having your own patio was great and was very private. The arrival of the Peacocks in the morning made it very interesting and entertaining for us all. Overall, we had a great stay, the owners were very friendly and helpful if you needed anything. We will definately visit again.
