Just returned from a week in one of Auchrannie`s Deluxe Lodges and we found it exceeded our expectations , accomodation was first class from start to finish , the swimming pools excellent and the restaurants in the resort were of a very high standard . Special mention to Simonas in Cruze restaurant for his attentiveness and good humour . The quality of food was the equal of any you would get in a top notch city centre location. Brambles restaurant is also ideal for a special occasion.
The setting of the Lodges is lovely, peaceful and relaxingly quiet.
The Island of Arran is just magical and even though we had only one reasonably dry day on our visit there is no shortage of interesting things to do on the island . Plenty of walks , places to see and a facinating history to the place. Plenty of independent shops , we recommend Arran Aromatics and the Arran Cheese Shop just outside Brodick. Well worth a visit is the Arran Distillery in Lochranza , fascinating and friendly staff. If you never been to Arran "it`s addictive" just like the brochures say. Thanks also to Mandy for her continued help and advice , and the wine at the Welcome Party helped !More
