This is a fine place to have a short stay and recharge. It is ideal for couples and families and there is plenty accomodation to suit all needs. As a family of four , two adults , two kids , we had a fine time.

Quality dining experience and first class service combined with pleasant surroundings allow you to kick back and chill. Our kids are asking to return soon , so it certainly ticked the boxes fro them as well. Spa treatment is essential to add the complete Auchrannie experience

Room Tip: South Facing , best sunsets and pleasant outlook

As soon as we drove into the approach to Auchrannie and saw the stunning tropical gardens set in a backdrop of majestic Scottish hills our stresses fell from our shoulders like a giant sigh of relief. Well of course the staff were friendly as they were local folk! Auchrannie also supports the economy of Arran by using Island products. Very impressed that they see the bigger picture. Could not recommend Auchrannie highly enough to people with children, although I hear it's equally outstanding for everyone. Somehow they make the children disappear (in the nicest way possible) and the restaurants retain a fine dining and intimate atmosphere. Aw I could say so much in favour of this place. It was raining when we arrived and it rained a lot during the weekend but it's the sort of place where it really doesn't matter and just gives you even more visual stimulation as the mists come and go from the mountains. FABULOUS. What a find. I will never again visit CenterParcs :)

I stayed here for four nights with my kids during the October school holidays 2013. The resort was spotless and super friendly. Its just 5 mins drive from the ferry terminal and its ideally located in the centre of the island that every village is a short drive away. The food, service and staff were brilliant and made the stay really enjoyable. Great kids buffet on every night. It was nice playing in the swimming pool while the rain poured down outside. I will be back without a doubt. The breakfast was brilliant.

This is a great place for a family holiday. Lots of things for kids to do including two swimming pools and a large play barn. Family-oriented food in restaurants. Good modern bedrooms. Good location near Brodick and it's various attractions.

We spent a night in Auchrannie Spa Resort. It was brilliant a real touch of luxury. We spend many weekends away from home and this was a real treat. Customer service was exceptional and our meal for two was second to none. Thank you

We had a great four day break on Arran and Auchrannie Spa resort offered a superb stay. The staff were friendly and relaxed. The continental breakfast was an excellent spread and of a high standard, ideal for us vegetarians. (The restaurant was very good overall but sadly the veggie choices on the restaurant menu were a disappointment. However Arran on a Plate in Brodick had great veggie meals!). Do not hesitate to stay at this fine resort even if you are a vegetarian.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
At the heart of the beautiful isle of Arran lies the multi-award winning, family owned Auchrannie Resort. Auchrannie now consists of two four star hotels; the romantic and relaxing ‘House Hotel’ catering for couples and those wanting a more intimate experience whilst the contemporary ‘Spa Resort’ is popular with families and those prefer a more modern feel to their surroundings. In addition, the resort features 30 five-star self-catering lodges (sleeping up to 8 in total luxury and therefore perfect for the extended family), 3 outstanding, award winning restaurants and bars, 2 leisure centres both with pools, destination spa featuring treatments by ESPA and Ishga and an outdoor adventure centre. Arran is Scotland’s most accessible islands, often referred to as "Scotland in Miniature” due to the dramatic contrast between the hills and mountains in the north, and sweeping moorlands on the south of the island. A short 55 minute ferry journey off the Ayrshire coast, Arran is easily reachable by those arriving into any of central Scotland’s main airports as well as those travelling by car, train and coach. Whilst many tourists arrive on the island simply to kick back and relax, the island is packed with attractions and sights for visitors of all ages. ... more   less
