We stayed at the Auchrannie Country House in an executive room for 4 nights, we got back home today after a truly wonderful and magical stay. The hotel is set in a beautiful setting with amazing views of Goat Fell. Our room was lovely with an amazing bathroom , lovely bedroom and separate lounge area. We ate each night in Brambles restaurant which was mainly seafood. The menu was full if choice and the food was excellent. The log fire was lit each night which added to the cosy atmosphere. The staff at Auchrannie are all very friendly and make you feel very welcome indeed. Breakfast was also excellent. The pool area in the main house was very clean. We would highly recommend the Auchrannie hotel, a magical place with wonderful staff. We will be back.

We have just enjoyed a two night stay at the Auchrannie Spa resort and enjoyed every minute of it. The food was excellent and the room very comfortable. Everyone was very friendly too. We took our black lab with us and there are many great walks. The view from the dining room window is great. Dinner is the Cruize restaurant was excellent and the staff very attentive.

My 2nd stay here, with 2 friends, staff are lovely, room was very nice, only criticism of room was there were 3 of us, but only 2 of shortbread, water, toiletries, no big deal though! Beds very comfy!
Had dinner in brambles, lovely food & wine!
The weather was a bit wild and the ferries were on Amber alert, so we opted for an early breakfast so we could guarantee getting home, which was a shame, but that's one of these things in our beautiful country!

My husband and I wanted a few days away with our 18 month old daughter and heard Auchrannie was perfect for taking kids. What I had heard was right. The staff were all fabulous and very relaxed with our daughter. Nothing was a problem to any of the staff. We had a small leak from our window in our room. After telling reception, it was fixed promptly.

The food in Cruize was really good and the choice on both the main menu and the kids menu were varied and interesting. The small softplay in Cruize was also handy for entertaining our little one as the weather wasn't ngreat during our stay.

We also enjoyed the pool facilities in the spa resort. The kids pool is great for very small children as it is the same depth all over.

We really have nothing negative to say about our stay.

The friendliest staff ever welcome you to Auchrannie and ensure they look after you every step of the way until you leave. One of the most relaxing places on earth. This was our second visit and won't be our last. We were a bit disappointed in the menu and quality of food in Cruze at night (although breakfast was excellent). Time to change the menu I think. Gorgeous island to explore at your leisure. On the way home I picked up some local curries from the freezer in the co-op which were fabulous! Stock up before you go!

At the heart of the beautiful isle of Arran lies the multi-award winning, family owned Auchrannie Resort. Auchrannie now consists of two four star hotels; the romantic and relaxing ‘House Hotel’ catering for couples and those wanting a more intimate experience whilst the contemporary ‘Spa Resort’ is popular with families and those prefer a more modern feel to their surroundings. In addition, the resort features 30 five-star self-catering lodges (sleeping up to 8 in total luxury and therefore perfect for the extended family), 3 outstanding, award winning restaurants and bars, 2 leisure centres both with pools, destination spa featuring treatments by ESPA and Ishga and an outdoor adventure centre. Arran is Scotland’s most accessible islands, often referred to as "Scotland in Miniature” due to the dramatic contrast between the hills and mountains in the north, and sweeping moorlands on the south of the island. A short 55 minute ferry journey off the Ayrshire coast, Arran is easily reachable by those arriving into any of central Scotland’s main airports as well as those travelling by car, train and coach. Whilst many tourists arrive on the island simply to kick back and relax, the island is packed with attractions and sights for visitors of all ages. ... more   less
