Exceptional quality rooms all recently refurbished with clear architect input - we had 4 in the group and all the rooms were different but exceptional although compact, they never felt small or compromised to fit an available space as often happens. Crisp clean interior, great shower and really lovely shampoo (sorry forgotten the name but an eco friendly one with a great smell) home made biscuits wrapped on the stand with the coffee and tea, decent position for the TV as well.
The owners were great, as were all the staff we met - excellent breakfast although one room it's cleaverly designed into smaller areas so felt personal. Evening meal was great value, although I did for a moment wonder if someone had brought in a fish supper - the hotel serves their fish with crisp chips in a copy of the local paper - true scottish style, it was the precise folding of the paper that made me suspicious - but I enjoyed my Beef Stew with dumplings so no complaints.
The whole weekend we were there, they had organised a Christmas Fair with local exhibitors in marquees and a lights and fireworks finale - well worth the trip

Had a wonderful visit to the Santa Sparkle! Loved every minute of it - mulled wine to die for! Mince pies, shortbread.... Arran cheese, Arran gold smoked salmon...... Arran aromatics, gifts galore! The delights just went on and on! The hotel was warm and welcoming and Santa - well he is Santa - what else can I say! There was a lovely buzz around the hotel but nothing was too much hassle for the staff either! Can't wait for next year!

totally brilliant. we had a 2 night stay here during the 'lamlash christmas lights turn on'. the hotel had local bands on,fireworks and a visit from santa! the food is excellent and the staff so friendly and happy. its obvious they all enjoying working here. the owners go out of thier way to provide that little bit extra and the enthusiasm showed through. our first time in this hotel but it certainly wont be our last. cannot praise this hotel enough and one of the best i have stayed in. allready looking forward to our next visit.

Absolutely perfect hotel! Its situation must be one of the best on the island! The service we received was second to none. Staff were so friendly, it was obvious they loved working there. Food and accomodation was first class. We were delighted with the welcome we received from the owners. They even came to wish us a safe journey home on their day off!! Would recommend it to anyone and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when we return.

If planning a stay in Arran look no further than the Glenisle. Not enough adjectives to describe the quality of this hotel. The complete package. Staff, food, room, location - all top class. Book Room 14 as this is unique with its freestanding bath with a view.

Room Tip: Room 14 is outstanding. Forget 'A Room with a View'! Room 14 has this and 'A Bath with a...

Perfect little hotel for a romantic get away. The owners couldn't have been more helpful! We checked in early, got in depth advice in where was good to visit etc. Food in the restaurant was lovely though it's only little so the menu is not extensive. The setting in lamlash is idealic, perfect for a wander along the shore line. Nice and close to Broderick for a night out though there are taverns close by for those looking for a quiet drink.

The hotel and particularly the bedroom were presented to a high standard and it is evident that a lot of work has gone into the presentation. it is clean and the food and service are good and to the standard we were hoping for after reading previous reports.
We stayed for two nights and on the second night were starting to find difficulty in choosing a different meal from the standard menu. We also booked dinner bed and breakfast and were unsure what that covered at dinner and whether there would be an excess charge on the bill at the end of our stay - there wasn't.
Being aged 65, boutique hotels aren't really our bag, Could find little fault with the Glenisle but left something lacking which I can't explain.
