We chose to stay here as the description of location sounded too good to be true. We were not disappointed, the location is stunning and the attention to detail in the refurbishment is second to none. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed more. We were given a very warm welcome on arrival and a personal tour of the place. Our room No.6 was on the side but we could still see the sea. The bathroom was spotless with big fluffy towels and an assortment of shampoo, soap etc. We ate in the restaurant and as I was not very hungry I asked to have a starter as my main course, this was no problem and the scallops were delicious as was the Clullen Skink my husband had, served in a deep dish with crusty bread. Breakfast again was delicious, we chose kippers which were pale and perfectly smoked served with wedges of lemon and loads of hot toast with which you can try the many jars of jam and gallons of tea. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble, we were made to feel special even though we were only there for one night.

Room Tip: They are all good.

We have just enjoyed a long weekend at this beautiful hotel. Restful décor, wonderful comfy beds, smiling, welcoming and helpful staff and delicious food. All this and the magnificent Arran scenery. Well worth the long trip from Hampshire.

Room Tip: Be aware some rooms are on the road - but they are beautiful, have sea views, and we only heard about 3 cars a night!!

This is a lovely little hotel in a stunning location. Set in the heart of Lamlash with great views of the bay and Holy Isle. We stayed just one night in one of the small rooms. I was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Customer service was excellent, staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were also very good. No complaints.

This was our first visit to this hotel but it will not be the last! From the moment we arrived until we checked out three days later the staff could not have been more helpful, attentive and professional. Our 'cosy' room was on the neat size but wanted for nothing in terms of things you expect to find, from dressing gowns to the teas/coffees and toiletries, it was all there.
If you cannot manage stairs this is not the place for you: no lift. However, help was always offered with moving luggage to/from the room.
The cooked breakfast was well prepared and there was also plenty of choice if you wanted something lighter. We had two evening meals in their restaurant and they were of outstanding quality.
Just 3 miles from the ferry port, with parking, it was just an ideal place to stay - they could not have done more to make our mini holiday such a fantastic experience!

Room Tip: Eat in their restaurant.

Stayed for a weekend with the family, using adjoining rooms, both rooms lovely, clean and well equipped, everything you needed including free wifi which as usual is essential for the kids. Stunning views from the rooms looking out over Lamlash bay and Holy Isle. Helped that the weather was very nice. Food in hotel was excellent, all four of us enjoyed the breakfasts and the meals in the restaurant at night were very good. Perhaps a bit pricey for some dishes but food of a consistently high standard. Service at all times very good, friendly helpful staff, would certainly go back and recommend anyone to go for a visit !
