I stayed at the Glenisle Hotel for 2 nights for a small getaway on my own, and the service, friendliness, food, and room quality was outstanding. I would and have recommended to my friends and family. Outstanding!

The Glenisle is beautifully situated on Lamlash Bay, with views to Holy Island. Most of the rooms enjoy good views: some, especially room 14 at the top of the hotel, have a spectacular outlook. The rooms are all well equipped and well presented, with very comfortable beds. Overall the standard of accommodation is very high indeed, and represents excellent value for money. The food is consistently good, sometimes very good, and makes use of local produce. The staff are friendly, and the hotel benefits from the hands on approach of the owners. The Glenisle clearly tries to be at the heart of its community: while we were there it hosted a concert by the local brass band, which it sponsors, and other events were advertised.
We went to the Glenisle as a result of a personal recommendation, and would not hesitate to recommend it in turn. Anyone contemplating a holiday on Arran would do well to consider booking at the Glenisle.

Room Tip: Go for a Holy Island view if possible: Room 14 is unbeatable for a special treat,

Stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed a relaxed, comfortable stay. Lots of attention to detail. Beautiful setting. Nothing lacking in the way of facilities and food on offer in the restaurant was of a really good quality. Would definitely stay here again.

We have been staying at the Glenisle in recent years, several times a year,in all seasons I can fully recommend this Island Hotel that has exceptional standards of attention to detail, comfort and with a great team to welcome and assist.Anybody would be hard pressed to better this hotel throughout Scotland.

Room Tip: If you get on well, a comfy double is still a really nice room to stay in,so embrace it rather than...

I now stay south of the border but have had many happy family holidays in Arran over a period of fify years. Now on my own and with a birthday to celebrate I decided on the Glenisle Hotel for a return holiday and I wasn't disappointed. I couldn't have had a better place to stay! The staff were very friendly: the room spotlessly clean and I came away after five nights feeling great. On my birthday I invited my son and a friend who was in a wheelchair to share a meal with me and again the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I look forward to a return holiday!

Room Tip: Single room a bit small but adequate!

This Hotel was recommended to us for a stay on Arran, one of the few parts of Scotland we had not visited before, and it certainly did not disappoint. We stayed for 4 nights in an extremely comfortable room looking out over the road to the sea and Holy Island one way and the Garden the other. Super size soft bed and 2 armchairs, TV, internet, constant supply of coffee and varieties of tea, good sized ensuite, all up our own staircase so no passing people.
From the moment we arrived all of the staff were helpful and friendly. Meals in the restaurant were excellent (both evening, and breakfast) as was the service. All in all a super experience, highly recommended.

We had never been to Arran before and needed a convenient hotel for a two night stay. We had heard about the Glenisle and decided to stay at Lamlash. We were not disappointed. The Hotel was very much better than we had expected. Our quiet room overlooked the garden. It was very small, but was spotlessly clean and well stocked with the little 'extras' that added to the comfort. It was fine for the duration of our stay, but next time I would ask for something a little more spacious, as we would want to stay for longer - and the weather may not be so kind! The staff were friendly and helpful - and the service couldn't be faulted. We ate in the restaurant, where the food was delicious. Breakfasts were equally good, with local produce on the menu. For the price, we would consider it to be good value. All said, we were comfortable and made to feel very welcome - we look forward to our next visit.

Room Tip: We will book direct with the hotel next time and ask about the size of the room.
