We booked a table for a birthday brunch and were pleasantly surprised by the balloons and bunting. A great treat!

Food and service were brilliant and the cake made by the staff was tasty and very reasonably priced.

Would definitely go back!

Just stopped by for a quick sandwich lunch. What I got was culinary perfection. Perfect egg mayo ( fresh and a beautiful yellow colour ) in the most beautiful brown bread. Served with fresh salad. Would thoroughly recommend it . Could not be beaten in my opinion.

This is certainly one of the better restaurants I have been to for lunch. Everything on the menu was classified as home-made and there is a list of all local suppliers up on a chalk-board in the restaurant (or should I call it a cafe?).
It was full when we entered, with a table reserved for someone, so we were initially seated at a "joint-table" which they have as a reserve. We were then seated, after ordering our food, at a table which had become free in the meantime.
This table was unfortunately seated right below the loudspeaker which tended to blare pop music the whole time we were there.
This was, however, the only off note (if you will excuse the pun) as everything else was perfect. The service was immaculate, by a single lady who worked very hard and efficiently, through to the food which was individually cooked and therefore took a little longer than a fast-food place.
I had ham eggs and chips. The ham was off-the-bone, thick and tender, eggs were free range and cooked perfectly and the chips....the chips? They were huge and so obviously home-made .....well they were just excellent.
My wife had a Loughtan lamb burger (which proves it was local) which was thick, covered in cheese, in a toasted bun and once again with a pile of those afore-mentioned chips.
All-in-all a top class lunch.

Excellent local food well cooked. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Patchwork is a real asset to the village. They do a good variety of film nights, group bookings in the evenings and Port St Mary's only ice cream tricycle too.
