This is a difficult review to write because the staff, in the main, are lovely. Our room was also very comfortable for our several nights stay. The restaurant was at the higher end of good. Overall this B&B pub has a star rating of 4 ...we felt that this is really too high. A rating of 3 is more realistic. So what let's it down ..the breakfasts certainly. The non-English speaking chef covered this on his own and really couldn't cope. Much of the food was over-cooked and the menu for 4 stars is limited. Also, a minor annoyance, wifi is only available downstairs which really should have been made clear in the details. On a positive note, the hotel is next to the steam train line and otherwise surrounded by farmland so very quiet.

The food here is always better than I remember! The pies are to die for, delicious sauces, and a really great choice. Good kids play area too, and staff always friendly. So nice that as the trains come in you watch them from where you are eating too.

We have had fantastic customer service right from booking with the Station, the rooms are lovely and clean and everything you could want...amazing shower! Food is very good and good value for money. Staff friendly and work very hard as this is a very busy place for non-residents too. Management friendly and very keen to make the stay everything you want as checked regularly that we were happy with our stay. We will be back next year for sure as everything we could ask for in a cosy friendly stay on the Isle of Man. Thank you Andrea and team for a wonderful stay.

We go to the Station reasonably regularly and the new owners are really trying hard to give the customer what they want. The menu is varied with lots of specials on the board and evening deals. The food is consistently excellent. You can eat in the bar, the pool (game sorry) bar or the restaurant all for the same price. There is also a hidden sunny beer garden if the weather is decent. Staff are all great. Real fire in the bar for the cooler evenings which is always nice to see.

My wife had attended a function at the hotel the previous week, and came back with a special offer for pensioners £10.00 per head for a two course meal.
Although the choice is very limited it was varied enough for us both to have an enjoyable meal. The service was excellent and friendly. The only "blot" on the evening was when we went to the bar after our meal, as we waited for our taxi to arrive. We sat at a table, and on the next table a man told us rudely that we couldn't sit there without his permission. We moved to another part of the room with the sympathy of another couple who had witnessed the confrontation. Obviously, a local which the hotel could well do without his patronage, if they are to encourage more local people to spend an evening here.

We had lunch at the Railway Station Hotel a couple of days ago, expecting pub food but getting superb restaurant-quality, freshly-cooked meals. No more expensive than other similar places on the island, but much better food, and the service was excellent too.
We'll definitely be going back on a regular basis.
