Originally booked for one night but after booking in and checking out the rooms and location changed to 2. Perfect location as we visited to go and see the Rosslyn Chapel which is literally a 3/4 min walk. An old hotel but rooms have been recently refurbed. Supplied with crisp clean bed linen. Also toletries. Coffees and teas. Hot chocolate and biscuits.
I was even shown the cupboard to help myself if i needed anything else. (Wow trusting) Lovely teashop within hotel. Lovely child play area if u have little ones.
Staff really lovely.
Thanks guys x

Family friendly tea room with fabulous cakes and fresh coffee.

The tea room is ran by a local couple from Roslin who served us personally. Their passion for their business is evident in the service they provided and furthermore gave us some good advice on things to do in the local area.

The tea room itself has just be relaunched, the decor is bright and fresh, and the small kids area kept my little girl entertained while my wife and I enjoyed the afternoon treat.

We will be back!

Six of us out with a walking group decided to stop here for a light lunch. Toasted Paninis were very good with plenty of filling on them and served with a little bit of salad and a few crisps. One person had soup which was served in a very small mug but she had a sandwich with it.
Pleasant place to eat when out and about and was not busy.

After visiting Rosslyn Chapel, we fancied a nice lunch. The staff at the visitor centre recommended the other pub across the road, which was probably why it was absolutely packed and they turned us away as there was no room! That pub recommended that we came here and it was empty. We had soup and sandwich lunch, plus drinks. The soup was delicious and the sandwiches were ok - nothing special, but it was filling and warm. It was very quiet and quaint. Average prices. Not much atmosphere, but it did the job on a cold day.
