“A 'must' do if you visit the Moray coast”

Beautiful unspoiled area of coast at the river Spey estuary. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Centre is free so remember to make a donation to help their work and research. Binoculars are available to borrow but if there are two or more of you it helps if you have your own too so you don't have to share. Well worth a visit.

“Great spot for a visit during your stay on the Moray coast.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 September 2012

This is a lovely spot where river, estuary and marine activity can be observed, either close up, or by controlling/viewing live video from the high magnifiaction cameras located outside the Centre which overlook local and nomadic wildlife.
The Ranger staff are very friendly and make your visit special. Take a jumper with you if you take the Ice House tour.
Keep your eyes peeled for Dolphins, Otters, Ospreys, Gannets, Seals and even Whales...Alas, I can only claim to have seen Ospreys and Gannets feeding to date.
Don't forget to drop a coin or two into the collection point to support this excellent centre.

I decided to cycle to The Dolphin Centre at Spey Bay, this is certainly value for money, as the shop and museum is free, they ask for a donation, there are interactive things to do and some lovely walks around the place, I always find that this is a busy place but the cafe had spare seats and i had a welcome cup of coffee after my 18 miles on my bike, I spent a pleasant time then cycled home on the cycle path through Garmouth

“This is a fantastic location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2012

OK this isn't for the "day tours" but for the visitors centre at Spey Bay. The centre is free , and it has a lovelly cafe. The have free tours throughout the day which includes the "ice House" (very interesting tour covering local salmon fishing history), and a short walk of the SWT (Scottish Wildlife Trust) site which is in the same location.

Both talks / walks were brilliant , interactive and run by enthuisiastic young folk.

You can watch dolphins from the shore, watch assorted wildlife on the Spey Estuary and a variety of floara and fauna. There are also food walks and cycle paths. We saw an Osprey flying ove rthe Spey looking for lunch.

This is a great spot. Please visit and support !

“A brilliant place to visit with kids.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2012

We were looking for interesting value for money things to do whilst on hols with the kids, and we fount the dolphin visitor centre. It's a really interesting place with lots for us to learn. My kids are 9 and 6 so this place was perfect for them. The staff were really helpful. In tje centre they have lots of info about dolphins and other marine life, and cameras set up so you can move them around to look for dolpins. You can hire binoculars and go out onto the beach to look for dolphins. We really enjoyed visiting.
