During a long drive, some friends and I visited the restaurant on the afternoon of Saturday 28th June and had scones with "home made" raspberry and strawberry jams, supplied in small containers. No other jams were in view. We’ve never previously tasted any jam as bad as that supplied. It was watery overly sugary fluorescent gloop devoid of fruit berries and which ran off the edges of our scones. It was disappointing that the business saw fit to serve these disgusting concoctions masquerading as jams.

We had a lovely coffee and fancy piece in the restaurant after browsing the gorgeous shop. Clean and tidy although extensions being constructed and temporary tables and chairs used.

Visited. Brodie Country Fayre yesterday at 3.45. The restaurant tables were littered with dirty dishes etc. the floor was filthy and when one of the five staff standing chatting eventually served us the coffe was "stewed" the scone was like sawdust and "the homemade jam" was so liquid it ran off the scone. My companions food was no better. Whilst I understand they are undergoing renovations I felt the whole restaurant was a disgrace and there was no need for what looked liked days worth of debris on the carpet

Although I cannot comment on food we enjoyed our visit to Brodie Countryfare.

Plenty of goodies to be found!

We left happy after raking around the shop for a good half hour, it stocks what most garden centres in Aberdeenshire have and more!
